Congrats to Kansas State on a huge victory and great season. Huge matchup with TCU next week for the division championship. I guess other teams trying to make playoffs will be rooting for K State too.

Yes you can start making those luxury moves once you have a competitive roster. Poles will surely do this in 2024 or so. But not likely in 2023.

And that is why you are NOT a GM.
If you can steal a 1st round QB in the 4th round, you have a future starter if Fields gets injured or you can get back a haul after a bit of development.
Pretty smart for a 4th round pick.

Hookers not going in the fourth round to begin with and this was a ridiculous hypothetical argument to even be discussing the Bears drafting a quarterback with a valuable pick when they finally have their quarterback.
Let’s talk about “why you are not a GM“. ?
Hell, using this argument, the Bears could very well be in a position to take one of the two best quarterbacks in the 2023 draft. It still doesn’t make sense to do so.

I remember a turnover late in that game when y’all just simply got too conservative in the second half. Dat Nguyen(?) was a beast at LB for TAMU
