Marmol 'O Mamol. He look like the best closer in the league today but it's just one game. Nice game by Ramirez AGAIN!

Man Aramis is so important to the Cubs. Lee is a paper tiger that should be traded. When Aramis is going well, the Cubs are on the prowl. He's the most impactful hitter we have.

I hope Aramis gets it going, we start winning, and then Lee starts doing better so we can get something for Lee.

And Lou needs to keep playing Colvin.

Lou should just keep the same lineup we saw yesterday and today. That's the starting 8.

Ramirez has looked good these past two games and a few right before the break. I'm just hoping Colvin gets out of his funk sooner rather than later.

Amazing when A-Ram hits the Cubs win....we still got 8 more home games on this stretch..if we can win 7 out of 8 we might get back into it...I know i shouldnt bring hope into my heart but i am a cub fan.

i told you guys colvin is coming down to earth because of his swing discipline with swinging at outside pitches..dont worry he'll be fine....he'll learn

and ya when aramis is on he is great...and hopefully he stays this way..he could be the key to the cubs having a good 2nd half

marmol was great today

We'll the next 8 is part of the next month but its really about the month as a whole. If we can widdle the lead down to 4ish games, I think we'll be in it to win it. But if we're still running in place, our roster could look a lot different by the end of the season.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  2. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Chicago State Cougars
  2. DePaul Blue Demons
  3. Illinois-Chicago Flames
  4. Loyola Ramblers
  5. Northern Illinois Huskies
  6. Northwestern Wildcats
Phuckedelphians must hate Chicago. We beat 'em in the Cup and then we are ruining the Phillies chances of catching up to New York and Atlanta.

Cubs are now:
8.5 GB of CIN
8.0 GB of STL
0.0 GB of CHC (No Shit Sherlock! Hate that saying.)
0.5 GA of MIL

IF all 3 lose today:
8.0 GB of CIN
7.5 GB of STL
0.0 GB of CHC (Shocker!)
1.0 GA of MIL

BTW, one of the things that makes one hopeful is the fact that in the last two games, we've had 2 run deficits where we tied the score in our next at bat. Today it was the 6th, yesterday it was the 1st. Its good to see this team get up off the mat for once.

this might be a little preemptive considering this is only the second game following the all star break, but this team for reasons i cannot explain, looks completely different. ramirez is batting for an average more than what he weighs, lee is finally showing signs of life, and marmol was absolutely filthy today.

i've got to agree that if the cubbies can get their deficit to about 4 or 5 games by the end of this month or early next month, cincy will have hopefully found their way out of first (like they always manage to do), and maybe, just maybe there's a glimmer of hope.

... i mean the frakking white sux managed to do it, so what's to say we can't?
