They can stay. But if they're drafted high, they usually decide to leave.
South Carolina has a lot of good young players too

Smart move by Arizona, in my opinion. Don't HAVE to win tonight, so they don't have to throw their best guy. They'd rather have Heyer against the freshman (Montgomery) tomorrow if it's forced to game 3.
If they win, great. But they're in a better position to win game 3 with Heyer.

One of the best CWS pitchers of all times. But like ESPN has said, he doesn't have great stuff. He just knows how to get college batters out. They aren't patient enough and he gets them to chase A LOT.
Love him and will be sad to see him go though. He plays the game the right way. Always having fun and keeping the team pumped. great senior leadership.
