This was my old boy. He got cancer and went way, way too young.

It took me a long time after that to get another one, but here she is. Had her about a year now (she's only about 6 mos in this pic).

I also have a cat, but he's an asshole. Seriously.

My little guy just turned 5 months, but I haven't uploaded the pics yet of the last few weeks. He's about 55 lbs now.

I am moving into a larger place with a fenced in yard soon so I can do agility training in my backyard. He starts official Schutzhund training in March, I'm really excited.

Once he is about 1-1.5 years old I want to get another one from the same breeder. Fucking love GSDs.

I think Huskies are beautiful dogs. however.... they are fucking dumb as shit and it's in their genetics to pull shit and run (sled dogs).

That's why I got my GSD. Shepherds are going to cost you more if you want strict german lines like mine. But less chance for stomach/hip issues which will save you a ton in the long run.

Love me healthy guy. He's a fucking chick magnet too.

I was doing Schutzhund with the first one. I can count the number of people I've met that know what that is on like one hand. Lol. Good stuff

For those who do not know, most police and military dogs are only Schutzhund II and only qualify once.

Schutzhund is fun, but its basically a game with rules etc. and those dogs never actually get to bite anything but a padded arm/ suit etc...Police Dogs are the real deal. My cousin was a K9 cop...His dog tore up quite a few burglars

Not dissin Schutzhund though..If I got another dog, I would train in it

I figure if he lives to be 12 years old that's only $200/yr. Plus his hips are certified and there is no history of stomach problems in this line (this lessens the vet bills on surgeries/meds later in life which buys down the steep initial price).

It's STRICT western german. THat being said he will only get to about 90 lbs and have the dark face/saddle and the dark red fur will come out after his four coat changes. German lines tend to run smaller than the American bred Shepherds.

Can't wait until Spring when I can really get out and work with him. The little ****** is so smart already. He's amazing.

What do you guys think of those European border patrol dogs?..Some police agencies buy those dogs because of their attitude

I thought about getting one.
