Yahoo Sports:

Oklahoma standout Blake Griffin has declared he's leaving school and making himself eligible for the NBA draft.

Shocking!

Re:Official Draft Prospects Thread

I hope Sacramento wins the lottery this year and I really hope NY doesn't.

Sacto is not looking good for another couple of years so winning the lottery will be good somewhat and will bring some fans back.

If NY wins, I will kill someone coz then those big free agents might be thinking twice now.

I want the Bucks to win it. I like having a good Bucks team around.

If Washington manages to get the top pick, they'll be back in business. Griffin with Jamison, Haywood and McGee is a formidable frontline. Same with Oklahoma, Milwaukee, Toronto and Charlotte

Let's all root for Sacramento!

BTW, if Phoenix manages to beat the odds and get the top pick, do you think Amar'e can be moved?

YOu bet. if Suns somehow won the lotto, they sure are trading Amare and his contract as they will have a good excuse now with Blake Griffin on the team and it would speed up their process for rebuilding and they wouldn't think twice.

DX: Rubio in Favor of Declaring.
-Ricky Rubio is back on our 2009 mock draft, after a four month stint where he was projected for 2010. Sources close to the situation indicate that Rubio’s family is now in favor of him entering this year, and that will almost certainly be on the early-entry list when it’s released on April 27th. His buyout still needs to be negotiated, which is easier said than done, but a final decision on whether to stay in likely won’t come until very close to the pull-out deadline, on June 19th. Unlike college players who are bound by the more restrictive NCAA rules, International players can enter the draft up to three times, which gives him plenty of wiggle room.

Awesome news to us as it means one more player would fall to us.

Blair declares, but does not hire agent
PITTSBURGH -- All-America center DeJuan Blair of Pitt will declare for the NBA draft but has not yet hired an agent, leaving the possibility he could return for his junior season.

Blair is currently projected as a mid- to late first-round pick, but his status could change once he goes through the NBA's various pre-draft workouts. If he doesn't hire an agent, Blair would have until June 15 to withdraw his name from the June 25 draft.

Pittsburgh attorney James Cook issued a press release Wednesday saying he will advise Blair in the pre-draft process, before Blair picks an agent. Among Cook's former or current clients are Memphis assistant Orlando Antigua, a former Pitt assistant coach, and boxer Roy Jones Jr.

"We are confident that he will make the city of Pittsburgh proud and enjoy a long NBA career," Cook said in the statement.

More interesting info from DX:

Ed Davis...maybe there's still a chance?
-Ed Davis came out immediately after the national championship game and said that he’s returning for his sophomore season. According to sources, it seems like that statement may have been somewhat premature, as they often are in such an emotional moment. Reports we’ve gotten indicate that Davis still has to meet with various people involved in the decision making process, and that if it appears that he is likely to be selected in the lottery, he could very well leave North Carolina. Davis’ body of work is about as small as any prospect in this draft, but he would clearly benefit from how few quality big men there appear to be this year, particularly with Greg Monroe and Cole Aldrich likely returning to school. He’d likely be drafted fairly high based on his physical tools alone, but he looks years away at this point from contributing. This is definitely one to keep an eye on.

This one most of you will like...

Evan Turner: Likely to return...but not for sure yet.
-Evan Turner is widely expected to return to Ohio State for his junior year, based off numerous reports indicating how strongly he feels about playing another season in college, but from what we’re hearing, there is still a conversation going on that would suggest otherwise. It’s too early to say whether Turner will definitely be in the draft, but it’s also too early to say he definitely won’t.

Nice to know there's still a chance at least.

Willie Warren going back on his word...likely going to at least test the waters:

- Willie Warren has repeatedly insisted over the past few weeks that he will “98.9%” return to Oklahoma for his sophomore season, but the latest word from around the NBA is that he’s reportedly changed his mind and will now be “absolutely testing the waters,” at the very least. If he’s deemed a lottery pick, he won’t be returning.

If we make no trades and Gordon walks what would you think about a Brackins/Williams duo of picks for Chicago?

Rose,Hinrich,
Salmons,Williams
Deng,(Salmons)
Tyrus,Brackins,Tim Thomas
Noah,Miller

That is a deep 10 man group with a lot of versatility.

I like both prospects, but I only think one of the two (T.Will) will be available when we draft. When Brackins hit the workout circut, he will most definitely turn himself into a top 10 pick. As for Williams, I don't see him dropping past the Hawks at 19.

The guy I that will most likely dropped to us, and be this years lonely greenroom guy is probably Earl Clark. He's a interesting prospect, yet not that interesting, and he's a 3/4 tweener. I also think alot of teams that workout him out will be looking for a Danny Granger level of prospect, and Clark is not that good. But if he falls down to our second first round pick, I'd definitely draft him.

Rose/Hinrich
Salmons/Williams
Deng/Novak <<<My dream
Thomas/Clark
Noah/Miller

The Bulls could even put themselves in the position to save some money on a Tim Thomas buyout.

Jordan Hill Hires agent, declares for Draft.
Arizona junior forward Jordan Hill has decided to leave UA and will make his name eligible for the NBA draft in the summer.

"I just want to thank the fans of Tucson, my coaches and my teammates for all of their support," said Hill in a statement released through the University of Arizona.

"Playing at Arizona has been a great experience and puts me in the position to move to the next level.," he said. "It's always been a dream of mine to play in the NBA."

Hill has hired an agent, so he cannot return to UA.

That's true, but they'd have to give up assets to do so. I'm not sure with the talent level this year it's worth it to trade up. I'd rather hoard our assets for a blockbuster trade.

This is what I'm thinking as well. I like DeRozan and Earl Clark. I'd like to see the Bulls go after one of them.

I had a chance to see alot of Willie Warren highlights, and i've come away REAL impressed. I wouldn't mind making a move to trade up a few spots and get him now. He looks all of 6'3 (yes, he will be a SG at the next level), as opposed to BG "6'3". He really reminds me alot of Eric Gordon, though Willie didn't have as much of a green light with Griffin dominating the ball. The kid is really, really, talented though.
