My favorite fast food is the #14 combo from Steak 'n Shake. Double steakburger with cheese and fries. I get it, bring it home and grab a pop from the fridge.

I also live literally right behind a Wendy's, so I go there sometimes and get the $0.99 double stack cheeseburger & value size fries. They need to go back to their old fries. The new ones suck.

Someday soon, I'm going to try the burrito place at the end of my block.

I also like Long John Silvers, but it's not exactly cheap and the nearest one (a combination LJS/A&W) is in Matteson. When I do go there, I just eat it there.

I like Hardee's a lot. Their burgers are great, and even the turkey ones are good. They also have surprisingly good onion rings.

I don't know if there are any around the Chicago area, but we have this place called Checker's around here that is pretty good. I think it's called Rally's in some parts. They have awesome fries, and their burgers aren't bad either. It's a double drive thru with no lobby.

Checker's is really good. And you are correct. It's called Checker's above the Mason-Dixon line and Rally's below it.

I got really sick after eating at a Rally's in Indianapolis last year. That night I had to go to a rehearsal dinner for a wedding I was a groomsman in the next day. Worst two days of my life. Wasn't able to eat anything for 2 days. Me and the Groom-to-be got two cheeseburgers each from there and he was perfectly fine. I'm never eating at a Rally's again, even though it was probably a once in a lifetime situation where I got sick. Just the thought brings back terrible memories.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, except it was at Wendy's. I loved Wendy's, but after going through the ordeal I had with them I don't know if I'll ever eat there again.

Our Hardee's takes forever, so I rarely go there. Taco Bell takes even longer. It's such a joke. Burger King is meh. Arby's is pretty delicious, but it's pricy.
