Exactly. People act like the Trestman era was on par with the Fox or Nagy era. Those guys can’t hold Trestman’s jock as it relates to the Bears’ on-field product during his tenure.
Trestman’s issue was that he overthought himself constantly and commanded no respect in the locker room. Lack of production was not the problem.

I'm not finished. Trevor Lawrence is GARBAGE at reading defenses. They protected him with half the field reads the entire time he was at Clemson. The Jaguars have seen this so they bring in a OFFENSIVE head coach to personally work with him. Justin Fields had the highest completion rate of college quarterbacks past his first read. That means they have a legit franchise type quarterback to develop. What do they do? They let Nagy play games with him. They fire Nagy. They then bring in a guy from the Chiefs who came from a team built around offense with a top coordinator looking for a head coaching gig ( Bienemy) but he instead go hires a defensive guy.
Bienemy might not be the guy but you have Jim Caldwell out there. You had Leftwich out there. You HAD offensive people to bring in and help Fields. They announced PUBLICALLY before hiring the defensive guy that Justin Fields will not be involved in the head coaching search. I give the Bears this: They ANNOUNCED they don't care two cents about properly developing Fields.

Maybe the lack of rollouts, moving the pocket and play-action in Game 1 wasn’t due to it raining, but because the Bears offense sucks?
