Apologists inbound
Ahh no it’s called common sense and not being a homer and hater. Did u even watch the game? If u did then how many times did he get sacked today because of “excellent” offense-line play?

Its the new reality of college football under NIL. These QBs get millions of dollars at schools like USC along with endorsement deals. They don't necessarily need to rush to the NFL. Sure, I agree its still better to get started on your rookie contract, but only if the sutuation is right.

Look up his quotes. It’s really telling. I think it’s s clear he wouldn't want to go to a team whom it would be perceived fumbled a guy like Fields.

No point in going back and forth on this. When Caleb Williams inevitably declares in 5 months we won’t remember this conversation anyway.

That's the point though. Its not inevitable. His dad has spoken publicly about it. My opinion is worthless. I just don't want to put up with fans cheering on for Caleb Williams like that will be automatically an option if Field's fails. If anything it will be a reason to go back to college.

He got sacked because he didn’t throw to his open receivers. It’s obvious you didn’t watch

Name a number one qb pick who’s been great in the nfl?

Maybe they should use more of their leverage to get in a better sutuation. Someone like Williams who can go back and make millions, a position no other college QB has been in before, could potentially force a #1 team to trade the pick or he will go back to college...who knows?

Overwhelming chance his dad is just saying what he thinks he is supposed to say. He can say whatever he wants, but his words don’t correlate with reality. What is the “right situation” for the #1 pick? He is going to a bad team no matter what. NIL money doesn’t compare to what a second NFL contract gets him. He is essentially throwing away a year of his NFL career and QB money.

I'm not sure what the exact right siruation looks like. But likely not an organization like the Bears to the general fan. That is why I think he could potentially force a trade that is more favorable to him.

And his dad addresses that exact situation in saying that no one is entitled the opportunity to get to the negotiating table for that 2nd contract.

Just start bagent, he can see open receivers and actually throws to them successfully
Okay idiot...against vanilla defenses and non roster/starters...lets ruin a guy that needs to develop, because fucktard thinks we should throw Bagent to the wolves

What team is Caleb Williams going to hold out for?

What really good situation will be there in 2025? Will a good team have the #1 pick?

Is he going to make enough in NIL in one more year at USC to forego an NFL rookie contract? Because there's always an injury risk.

Friend, what’s field’s done exactly?

If you understood what a qb is responsible for presnap, bagent is your guy

Whether its actually on Fields or not won't matter as much as the perception. The perception is Bears ruined Fields before he ever got a chance to succeed.
Or he wasn’t never NFL material before any staff touched him. Sometime, no type of coaching can make a player transfer what he was in college into the NFL. The perception is there, yes. But the perception is also blaming Fields, not just the staff. So you have to acknowledge both.

Lmao Bagent is not a long term answer at QB. If it's not Fields, its gonna be Caleb Williams.
Let’s say we happened to get Caleb Williams and he will end up getting hampered by a shitty o-line and shitty coaching and it’s gonna the same shit over again. More wussies crying that Caleb isn’t the answer and “he sucks” and “bench him for our back up” blah blah blah ???

Who said Fields isn't partially at fault? Again square peg in a round hole...his strengths are not being utilized, pocket passer is not it..u dont see promise like his and now all of a sudden instant regression. Hell, he isnt even running anymore. He is mentally shell-shocked from getting drilled constantly, even when he completes ball, most of time, he gets drilled on release.

Why ruin Bagent....horrible staff, oline and play calling has no fluidity...screen from ur own 5? Lol

If the Bears get Caleb Williams and he is a bust I’ll retire from this board forever. He is the one, this isn’t the same as the other guys.
