Lmao Bagent is not a long term answer at QB. If it's not Fields, its gonna be Caleb Williams.
Let’s say we happened to get Caleb Williams and he is gonna hampered by a shitty o-line and shitty coaching and it’s gonna the same shit over again. More wussies crying that Caleb isn’t the answer and “he sucks” and “bench him for our back up” blah blah blah ?

Ahh no it’s called common sense and not being a homer and hater. Did u even watch the game? If u did then how many times did he get sacked today because of “excellent” offense-line play?
A lot of those sacks were on Fields. The OL is not ideal, but he just refused to throw to WRs breaking open constantly.

I am done searching for excuses other than him after every game. There are contributing factors that lead to this shit show game in and game out, sure. But Fields is simply not making plays that most other starting QBs in the league make consistently and easily. That is simply a hard fact.

Man ya’ll are drama queens lol. Clean house after just two games? They played in 90+ degree weather with 97% humidity with defense on the field for most of the game thanks to shitty coaching.. how bout we clean the house with the coaching staff instead?

No. Normally I would agree with you but not this time. There's enough body of work with fields to realize he's not the guy, and there's enough with this coaching staff to realize they ain't it.

The Bears need to draft a quarterback this upcoming draft and they have the capital to do it, and I don't trust these coaches to develop whoever that is.

I gave fields every benefit of the doubt because he's shown amazing ability to throw down field and some exceptional Talent.

Unfortunately, even if he's Precision down field, that he can't make the short throws limits him as a quarterback.

Really weird issue to have but he has it and I've seen enough to realize he's not going to shake this.

When the head coach says we had better intensity, isn’t that on the coaches that the team isn’t playing hard!!! That means your team doesn’t play hard for you!!!

? this. I don't think any team has had more quarterbacks. I do think that the bears have good skill position players but need a couple upgrades on the o line. Caleb Williams, as an apparent generational talent, should be able to work with that.

Fields is better than any other option in the draft aside from Williams imo.

Caleb is no more a NFL guarantee than any other QB. Ask Lienart, Sanchez, Quinn, Clausen, Pryor, Cassell, Tebow, Manzel, Bennett, Lance, Rosen, RG3 etc get the picture? Some transition alot don't. Most depends on where you land. Chicago is a place where you must already be proven bcuz we can't develop and that goes for any position. If they are not all world already like Urlacher, Kreutz, Briggs we have to buy like Peppers, Allen and Foles. Sadly that is why we have to have the stars align to go on a run every couple decades.

I have no desire to look it up, but I’m positive overall number one picks become good to great NFL players at a pretty decent rate. Literally none of the guys you listed were #1 overall picks. A few were late round picks which makes your argument even more confusing. Of course nothing is guaranteed. Like I said though, when it comes to #1 overall the rate of success has to be pretty good.

You seem so happy that the team you claim to be a fan of lost. What a sad life you must live.

Issues across the board on offense and defense but yes let's blame Fields. Wouldn't expect anything else from a mental midget / flat earther like you.
sorry Tez, looks like most of the city is turning on Fields

I think I'm finally out of Fields. IDK if it's him or the coaching/plays, but when you have THREE open players and can't pull the trigger, IDK WTF is going on.

Overwhelming chance his dad is just saying what he thinks he is supposed to say. He can say whatever he wants, but his words don’t correlate with reality. What is the “right situation” for the #1 pick? He is going to a bad team no matter what. NIL money doesn’t compare to what a second NFL contract gets him. He is essentially throwing away a year of his NFL career and QB money.

I'm not sure what the exact right siruation looks like. But likely not an organization like the Bears to the general fan. That is why I think he could potentially force a trade that is more favorable to him.

And his dad addresses that exact situation in saying that no one is entitled the opportunity to get to the negotiating table for that 2nd contract.

What team is Caleb Williams going to hold out for?

What really good situation will be there in 2025? Will a good team have the #1 pick?

Is he going to make enough in NIL in one more year at USC to forego an NFL rookie contract? Because there's always an injury risk.
He could force a trade to another team. Remember John Elway in 1983 and Eli Manning in 2004?
