Why not call a pass there and give Fields the chance to showcase his legs for 1 yard if no one was open?

Running quarterbacks are deadly in short yardage situations.

That's probably something you'd want to save for the regular season. No need to expose him to those hits in traffic.

But yeah, maybe not run a draw play on 4th and short.

I think there they wanted to test if the offensive line can get the 1st down. Williams fucked it up by hesitating instead of gunning it from the hand off.
