ROQUAN SMITH vs SAQUON BARKLEY
The team has to be pleased with how the second-year linebacker stepped up in the absence of Danny Trevathan. Smith recorded 11 tackles, an interception and a tackle for loss, but the biggest story might have been the fire and energy he showed throughout the game after a sluggish stretch early this season. Smith will get a chance to show off again when the Giants come to town. Barkley is one of the league’s top young running backs after rushing for 1,307 yards as a rookie last year, including 125 against the Bears. However, Barkley has been battling an ankle injury since Week 3, and his numbers have been down significantly in the last month. Last week, the New York Jets held Barkley to a single yard on 13 carries, eight of which went for no gain or a loss of yards. Can the first round linebacker contain the first round running back to make the Giants have to turn to their turnover prone rookie quarterback?

KHALIL MACK vs NICK GATES
When the Giants learned that starting right tackle Mike Remmers would miss last Sunday’s game with a sore back, they inserted former undrafted tackle Nick Gates right into the starting lineup with confidence, and he proved his worth against the Jets. However, he will now really have to prove his worth to that OL by facing off against All-Pro pass rusher Mack, who turned in a blank stat sheet for the first time in a Bear uniform during the Bears prime time loss to the Rams. It's obvious the Bears defense is worlds better when Mack is at his most disruptive, but can he return to the menacing form that has been missing for weeks now?

TAYLOR GABRIEL vs DEANDRE BAKER
Gabriel has had 11 catches for 96 yards and a score in the last two games as most defenses have focused on taking Allen Robinson out of the game. This week Gabriel should draw the Giants latest first round pick, cornerback DeAndre Baker, who is still adapting to life in the NFL. To this date, Baker is giving up a 70.4 completion percentage on his targets. Listed under six feet as well, this should be a match up that Chicago's speedster can exploit.

While it would appear that neither the Bears nor Giants will be playoff teams this season, these two teams have faced off in four NFL Championship games in their storied pasts. The first being in 1941, only two weeks after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The next championship meeting came in 1946, the same season George Halas returned to the team after serving in the war. The Bears won both of these match-ups. The two teams faced off again in the 1956 NFL Championship, but this time the Giants routed the Bears 47-7 on an ice-coated Yankee Stadium. Finally the Bears and Giants squared off at Wrigley Field in 1963 which featured the original "Monsters of the Midway" defense, including Ed O’Bradovich, Stan Jones, and Bill George. The Bears would win 14-10 marking their final championship win under George Halas.

I'm going to post here tomorrow morning about how I'm not going to watch the game, and probably mow someone else's lawn so I can pay alimony

Chicago is going to lose it if Daniel Jones outperforms Trubisky. I have not betted against the Bears this year in any game since I always stayed believing its about to turn. This week I'm betting the Giants win 24 -13.

Even the Jets scored over 30 points on the Giants but I'd expect to see more tears from Trubisky than anything else.
Football is a serious emotional game unless you played it before you would know that tears happen all the time just that the fucking cameras are on you every minute. I dont fault a human side feeling - the guy gives a fuck - literally he loves the game so much that when you are just failing and failing like he and the team have - it's just can get the best of you.

My friends brother played with him at Mentor and had nothing but respect for Trubisky. I think he is part of the issue but I feel that Nagy is even bigger. Trubisky only came with 13 games experience and then to pair him to a coach that had 0 game experience calling play or a head coach = distaster. Last year the defense is what won Nagy the coach of the year. The offense was paltry but that defense with turnovers made up for it

I've been a Bear fans since the 80's. Sorry, folks but I just put half my weeks paycheck on the Giants +6points. Anyone else gamble at the sports book at the Horseshoe? It is really nice.

Nice snowflake response for the snowflake QB. There's no crying in football, man.

Not really concerned if you lose that 20 bucks or not. Bears are going nowhere, nor are the Giants so this game is meaningless. If you want to bet on who's more of a loser, I'd also say take the losers being given points.
