Oh, you're one of those "Fill every hole every off season" guys. As though every last place team just becomes great every off season. Got it.

I supposed trading down in a top heavy draft was the better way to go?

GMs can't draft unlimited players. They're draft picks, not loaves and fishes.
In 3 drafts Poles has like 10 trade downs to 2 trade ups. Let it go. You are just looking for something to complain about.

No one did. And I didn’t either. I asked, am I upside to hate the pick? That’s why there was a question mark at the end. Your really trying to get this one huh? Hahaha. Keep going bro. Don’t stop now and don’t keep me waiting. I’m telling you to entertain me now.
Why did you ask if you’re supposed to hate the pick?

If no one was suggesting that, why ask the question? Who are you asking?

I like the Taylor pick. I like the Booker pick. They have a lot of draft picks next year and Poles didn’t give up too much to get a good DE who hopefully develops a year early.

There is a lot of unnecessary back and forth going on here.

If they’re both good, or even serviceable, we’re not going to ultimately care that a 4th and 5th were spent on them, for sure.

I don’t know how you can be upset with this draft. When is the last time the Bears addressed every weakness with a pick? Even punter got handled.

Same way someone says, “I paint my nails. What am I *** now cause I do that?” And the dude is not ***.

Comprehend outside the box buddy.

That took to long too. Hurry up on your responses next time. Let’s go.

lol you’ve never heard that phrase?

means to target and track down, go fast
While that’s the meaning, I always took it to be a joke about ears causing drag so you pin them back. Or being so fast that the wind causes your ears to “pin” to your head.

Why? They’re set on depth, remember?
You're doubling down on a bad take rather than just admit the Bears did well.

Had they drafted Booker in the 4th and Taylor in the 5th, most would have been happy. But God forbid they draft the Punter in the 4th!! That goes against what Mel Kiper says!

Every year Bears fans say someone was picked too high and could have been drafted a round later, and every year some GM confirms he would have drafted that same guy shortly after the Bears grab him. But, yeah, our GM is always wrong.

I’m happy with the Booker pick, and if Taylor is good, I won’t ultimately care that they picked him in the fourth.

But this proves they didn’t pick him in the fourth because the draft was so shallow that no other position player was worthy of joining the great Bears roster. They picked him because they like him and wanted him. No need for anyone to justify the punter pick by saying that the rest of the options were just too shitty.

I have no idea what you read.

I am not complaining a bot about what Poles has done.

I was replying to a post that was criticizing him for not filling every hole in one draft.

I know I'm biased, but the rest of the NFC North does not seem to be having good drafts.

I think Turner, Arnold, and Cooper are all going to be good pros and I wish they went elsewhere, but outside of that it looks like they're just flinging shit against the wall and hoping something sticks, and they have like 155 DBs drafted between the three of them so far.

Vikings especially are going to look back and say "what the hell were we doing" if/when JJ sucks.

I agree with this sentiment.

If you think Taylor is going to be that guy, you take him. It’s not like the value there was too out of whack either.
