My thoughts on the game:
Humber was great and pitched well for the first time since his perfect game. Only one or two mistakes and one of those was taken out of the ballpark.
Offense was great. In my opinion, this was the best offensive game of the winning streak and probably of the year. This is one of the first times that the Sox didn't depend on home runs to get the runs scored. They only had one homerun and that didn't even matter because it was in the 8th and the Sox already had the lead.
The sixth inning was the best baseball that I've seen the Sox play so far this year. And it started with a Dunn walk. Just amazing how they have been playing.
The biggest thing I think is different from last year is that last year if Konerko went 0-4 with 3 Ks and a DP, the Sox were almost certain to lose. Today, they won and won big. That's huge for the offense as whole and for Konerko to know that even when he has an off day (which all players have) the team can win. Not as much pressure on him, but still enough that he's hitting really well.
