My thoughts on the game:

Humber was great and pitched well for the first time since his perfect game. Only one or two mistakes and one of those was taken out of the ballpark.

Offense was great. In my opinion, this was the best offensive game of the winning streak and probably of the year. This is one of the first times that the Sox didn't depend on home runs to get the runs scored. They only had one homerun and that didn't even matter because it was in the 8th and the Sox already had the lead.

The sixth inning was the best baseball that I've seen the Sox play so far this year. And it started with a Dunn walk. Just amazing how they have been playing.

The biggest thing I think is different from last year is that last year if Konerko went 0-4 with 3 Ks and a DP, the Sox were almost certain to lose. Today, they won and won big. That's huge for the offense as whole and for Konerko to know that even when he has an off day (which all players have) the team can win. Not as much pressure on him, but still enough that he's hitting really well.

IMO the best part was the fact that we took the lead and a comfortable one at that before hitting a HR. We got base hits to get the job done. That was encouraging.

I think we are starting to see an emergence of a pretty good baseball player in viciedo.

Let's keep the bats going today, get out of Tampa with the sweep.

Frank Thomas agrees. He said that the White Sox have a potential superstar in Viciedo.

A sweep would be HUGE, but I'm not counting on it because that's really hard to do against such a good team.

Quintana has to be good.

Sample size alert: but Gordon is .273 in his last ten. If he keeps that going, the Sox have a great chance to win.

Beautiful placement by Paulie on that hit. Right through the third basemen and the short stop.

Rios has been so much better this year compared to last year. Clutch hit scores Beckham (who has also been considerably better) and the Sox lead 1-0 in the 1st.

Quintana with a 1-2-3 inning. White Sox offense gotta get it going now. The more run support Quintana gets, the better.

Bases loaded and no outs. The White Sox don't score.

That's how the Sox played before this winning streak and I'd like to not see that anymore.

Batting better with RISP is what has made the difference for the Sox so far this year and when they leave 3 on, that's not a good sign. Hopefully they turn it around the next inning. They still have the lead 1-0.

put Rios second, Robin. No fucking .220 hitter should be anywhere near there.

Tie ballgame. Had to know that the Sox would need to score more than 1 run.

Not scoring the last inning has killed the White Sox momentum and improved the Rays momentum by a lot.

Quintana has to get out of this inning quickly.

Beckham been swinging a good bat I got no beef with the 2 hole. 4-3 Royals

I knew that Quintana would give up a homer. Too many fly balls so far in the game and when you give up fly balls, you tend to give up homers.

Rios would be the obvious better choice, but when you move a player that is currently hot, there's the chance that he'll cool down.

Robin is smart to keep the lineup the same until something goes wrong. Right now it's working and the Sox are winning games.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.
