There's some RUMORED X-Box 360 exclusives that are being reported.

*Exclusive Mode: Puzzle Kombat - Features online play, leaderboards, and avatar support.
*Exclusive Arena: The Pit 360 - Remake of The Pit III from MK3 (the indoor one with the spinning blades at the bottom)
*King of the Hill mode will include avatar support.
*DLC Character "Lady in Red" will be available to Xbox Live users as a free download for a limited time after her release.
*Exclusive avatar gear will be available for purchase.

If it's confirmed, cool. If not, oh well. Still, it would be nice to see the 360 acknowledge this game. And it'd be fun to play Puzzle Kombat again, I loved that game mode.

My bad. A lot of things get lost in the multitude of pictures and YouTube videos in this thread. Also, it's the first time it popped up on Google news, what source you use mainly for MK news?

Mortal Kombat (2011) Finished and Gone Gold
9:26 AM CST - Patrick McCarron
We just got official word from Warner Bros that Mortal Kombat (2011) has officially gone gold. Congrats goes out to everyone at NetherRealm Studios for their hard work and dedication in finishing this game.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios today announce that Mortal Kombat has officially gone gold on the PlayStation(r)3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360(r) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Scheduled to launch on April 19, Mortal Kombat is the most brutal installment of the legendary fighting game to date and is currently available for pre-order at all major retailers across North America.

Being developed by NetherRealm Studios, led by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, the newest chapter of the iconic fight franchise marks a triumphant return to the series' mature presentation and a reinvention of its classic 2D fighting mechanic. Driven by an all new graphics engine, the fan favorite Fatality is back and presented in more gory detail than ever before. In addition, Mortal Kombat introduces a number of new game-play features including tag team, a deep story mode, and, exclusively for the PS3, Stereoscopic 3D. Players can choose from an extensive lineup of the game's iconic warriors and challenge their friends in traditional 1 vs. 1 matches, or take on several new game modes including Challenge Tower and the soon-to-be-announced online modes.

Goto xbox.com and look at upcoming games, no MK. Microsoft is not even acknowledging MK because apparently Sony bought out exclusive rights to have the MK Demo and they are salty. Not only are they losing in Pre-orders they most likely won't be receiving an exclusive character which basically is the reason why they are acting like MK doesn't even exist. So glad i made the switch last week

Pre-order #'s

PS3: 161,023
360: 113,974

Microsoft really isn't losing out, it's the fans and the pockets of those making money off MK. If they would've released the demo for both platforms and announced some exclusives for the X-Box, the pre-orders would be way higher on the 360's side...probably would even surpass the PS3 even if the exclusives didn't involve an exclusive character. WB is missing out on the 360's market just so they can be loyal to Sony. That's a really bad decision for sales on a multi-platform game.

its gonna sell regardless & they know it so why not be loyal... they know if someone with the box wants it they will buy it...

It'll still sell, sure. But it won't sell as much as it would if they treated this game like a multi-platform and not a PS3 exclusive.

Demo's and exclusives are things that sway customers who may be undecided or curious about the game. It's not about only selling it to those who want it, you're supposed to try to get as many sales as possible. To not take full advantage of the 360's market is just all kinds of stupid on their part. There's a killing to be made there and they're settling for peanuts because Sony and WB are BFF's.

WB doesn't care because it makes their good friends at Sony happy. I'm sure the MK team isn't too pleased. That considering the constant questions they can't answer directly in respect to WB about why they're shutting out the 360. If it were up to the team, I'm sure we'd be seeing exclusives and the demo for both consoles.

With that said, I love WB for bringing MK back in a big way, I just wish they would've marketed the game for both consoles. It would've meant bigger money. Luckily I will have the game for both systems. Got friends and family that play on each system, so it's worth it.
