Big Ten caught a ton of grief for losing the tOSU and Purdue games, but they have 4 double digit wins and two wins by double digit seeds.

In the least shocking news of the day, Mizzou lost in the first round again.

Tony Bennett sandwiches a national championship with losses to a 16 and a 13.
Amazing isn't it? That said, I'd take it being an Illini fan

Yeah. They saved some face with those underseeded wins

Whatever you say. You are entitled to your opinion. . Either way, it's a nice win for a mid major program like Loyola.

No one is debating whether it was a good win for. Loyola but they didn't beat a team at full strength

Iowa won a game!

I’m scared of Oregon lol. Not sure you guys understand the dynamic of being a Bears/Iowa fan but I’m conditioned to expect worst case scenario at all times

Shaka Smart is such a fraud.

As one twitter user put it "He's been dining out on one tourney run for ten years."

A few people mentioned that "Illinois dodged a bullet", but considering we ended up with John Groce, I guess we dodged a bullet and got run over by a tank.

But Shaka won one game in each of the two years after the Final Four run, and zero in 7 tourneys since. Excluding 2020, he has missed two tourneys and lost in the first round 5 times.

Jim Larranaga is another one. One glorious George Mason Final Four and nothing after.

Keep attacking the basket. Lutwig will start picking up fouls. Illinois figured something out late in the half.

I don't think so. Loyola could be up a lot more if they were hitting their open looks.

Moser coaching circles around Underwood right now.

Just keep the ball in Curbelo's hands and let him get in the paint or close to it and set up fouls or dunks
