I think his stock drops if he doesn't run. Regardless of what he runs, expect his splits to be quick so may not matter that much if his 40 isn't great. He's not running a 4.6
I don't think he's running a 4.6, either.

Well, what 40-time would cause his draft stock to drop? 4.4 definitely not, 4.5 probably not, 4.6? That would be concerning
If he pulled a Xavier Restrepo and ran a 4.8 that might knock him out of top 10 considerations, dont think anything would really cause him to drop out of the first round though.

If he pulls a Restrepo, I actually think he may fall out of the first. It would just put more thought into the 'small school' and 'is he too small' question marks. I of course think he'd a lock to do at least 4.5 or he'd not even run and I'm guessing he's pretty likely 4.4 or better. If he's not, he definitely shouldn't bother running.

Bears are certainly looking for a burner at the WR position....

I expect some deep play action passing incoming.
And deep ball accuracy should be real high on Caleb's list of things he needs to get better at. The previous coaching staff hurt his growth in that area even more by rarely letting the kid throw deep balls.

Nice. Guy isn't scheme specific. Doesn't look as fast in pads as he timed but plenty of speed. My sleeper, Merritt, is more a zone runner. Timed a tick slower in the 40 but looks about the same speed in pads. I suspect Smith is better out of the blocks which is why I think Merritt fits better in zone.

It's guys like these why many teams don't take RBs early. Dude needs to be very special.
He's 195 soaking wet on a good day with a lean frame. Like the player but he's a platoon player in the league,

This class is overhyped in my assessment of these backs.one of the best ever, nonsense. The quantity is certainly there but not the quality. Alot of these guys have warts.

What do you think of Jeanty and Hampton?

At work so don't have alot of time to get into it but,
Like them both a fair bit. I have Jeanty slightly behind guys like Bijan and Gibbs as overall prospects. Worthy of top 15 consideration.

Hampton i have as a borderline 1 rounder. His gody yards after contact, alot of them come from the 2nd level. He's not a make something out of nothing type back. Goes down when met in the backfield relatively easily. It's worth noting that is something Derrick Henry struggled with in college as well. Hampton needs a crease to get going a bit.
