Pretty sure after they drafted Wright and I was reading what I could find about him I saw something about how he was moved to LT his junior season and was horrible. He was moved back to RT senior season and had a great year.

If he couldn’t hold up at LT in college there’s no way in hell he will in the NFL.

Or they think it's possible he falls enough to get him later for RT/G? Idk. But they have a LT signed through 28 and need pass rush desperately or anything on defense

Most mocks i've seen have them going pass rush or CB.

If DA is cool with Booker at 250-255 then hopefully he's cool with 251 lb. Mike Green who to me already is right now the player you hope Booker can some day develop into. Off the field issues aside.

If DA is cool with Booker at 250-255 then hopefully he's cool with 251 lb. Mike Green who to me already is right now the player you hope Booker can some day develop into. Off the field issues aside.

I would love M.Green at #10 (if the off field checks out) but i'm starting to think they do go OL at #10 or their 1st pick, wherever that ends up being. Maybe Jeanty or Warren.

The Bears and Johnson have mentioned the importance of a slot receiver many times this off season. Has anyone on this board heard of Efton Chism? He played at Eastern Washington (Cooper Kupp played there too) and he has PFF’s top slot receiving grade. Also, he had the top PFF grade for late down receiving.

Here’s some information:

“SLOT PFF RECEIVING GRADE: WR EFTON CHISM III, EASTERN WASHINGTON (90.1)

While many may not be familiar with Chism’s game, the two-time FCS All-American has an incredible resume of production, particularly when operating out of the slot. When lined up inside last season, Chism racked up the most yards after catch (519) among draft-eligible players, contributing to his incredible 3.19 yards per route run.

LATE-DOWN PFF RECEIVING GRADE: WR EFTON CHISM III, EASTERN WASHINGTON (91.9)

Chaim also hurdled a safety to get downfield on one catch and made another grab over the middle knowing he would take a hit. The do-it-all playmaker also returned kickoffs and punts, getting upfield quickly and running tough to maximize each play.”

I wonder how far Xavier Restrepo will drop in the draft after that horrible 40 he ran because i think he'd be a good slot wr to draft if we could get him with a late pick?

I don’t have an opinion on him. I watched Ward quite a bit at WSU but I don’t remember watching anything but highlights of Miami last year.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Restrepo play.

I dont really think that's a weight he prefers, they are just emphasizing bookers need to add bulk. Booker got thrown around like a rag doll in the run game last year. I'd guess he played more around 240. I'd like to see him get up around 265 so he can hold the POA and see if he still has any pass rush explosion

that's where a Tuimoloau or Burch type comes into play in the 2nd.

Field Yates of ESPN has a two round mock out. Here’s what he selected for Chicago.

“Round 1, Pick 10: Will Campbell, OL, LSU

Will Campbell falling to the Bears at No. 10 would be an ideal scenario. Despite the free agency moves to retool the entire interior offensive line, that shouldn't stop Chicago from continuing to build up the wall in front of quarterback Caleb Williams. Campbell is hailed as the best offensive lineman in this draft class, and he would be a massive get for the Bears.

I'm pretty bullish on Campbell as a prospect. Despite concerns about his 32⅝-inch arm length, he ranks fifth on my board. And in this scenario, I'm not super focused on whether he would ultimately play tackle or slide inside to guard. The Bears' starting five is already much better on paper after a busy free agency, and Campbell could play wherever he's needed.

New coach Ben Johnson would love a player like Campbell, whose elite foot quickness and pass protection ability fit great in his system. The Bears will likely feature plenty of zone rushing schemes in 2025.

Johnson recently discussed arm length when it comes to evaluating offensive linemen, and he said it's not a problem unless it becomes a problem. Which means perhaps the Bears believe Campbell could be their franchise left tackle.

Round 2, Pick 39 (from CAR): Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State (First time I’ve seen this in a Bears’ mock)

Wide receiver isn't the most pressing need on the roster, but there's depth needed behind starters DJ Moore and Rome Odunze following Keenan Allen's departure in free agency. While receiver at No. 39 would come as a surprise, there's no denying Emeka Egbuka would be a big get as another weapon for quarterback Caleb Williams.

As the Bears look for one more playmaker to maximize Ben Johnson's offense, they could turn to the ever-reliable Egbuka in Round 2. He set the Ohio State record for catches (205) and is a great route runner.

Johnson discussed the importance of the slot receiver in his offense, and Egbuka would be a perfect fit. While the team did sign Olamide Zaccheaus in free agency, Egbuka could be a long-term answer to pair with Moore and Odunze.

Round 2, Pick 41: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

While many have linked the Bears to Boise State's Ashton Jeanty at 10th overall, he could very well be off the board at that point (or Chicago could elect to go another direction, in this case with Will Campbell).

But this is a deep running back group with some playmakers on Day 2, including Ohio State's Quinshon Judkins, who could thrive in Ben Johnson's offense.

More offense for the Bears, two picks after I had them taking Emeka Egbuka. I have an ever-so-slightly higher grade on Judkins' fellow Ohio State back TreVeyon Henderson, but Judkins can bring a better profile of power and thump to a Chicago offense that could use it. He scored 45 career rushing TDs.

The Bears have indicated that they're looking to add to the running back room this offseason, and Judkins would be a great addition alongside D'Andre Swift.”
