I personally wouldn’t take TE in RD 1 but I wouldn’t be pissed if that’s how it played out.

And then we are 1-2 OL injuries from being a shitty OL like last year since we basically have no depth

But at least we'll have some new shiny toys while caleb gets sacked 50+ times

Some guy named Jason Boris is the most accurate mock drafter but only does 1 mock draft the morning of the draft. The ESPN guys don’t even rank in the top 75, which isn’t a surprise.

The guys at the big networks probably have to make surprising picks to get clicks

#2 most accurate mock drafter over the last 5 seasons

TBH, I agree with his top 10 picks based on the rankings which we can see, and biggest team needs.
Perhaps Carter and Hunter are flip flopped but no matter.
I don't see any OT or productive boy scout edge rushers worth taking at 10.

That would piss me off
He did have a terrible 2024 mock draft though. Seems like Boris(#1) does the Sheridan(used to be #1 until he retired or maybe it was Telander?) approach to mock drafts, just gather intel all month from anonymous team sources and then announce your mock draft the day of the draft.

Hampton is a 4.45 player K.Johnson is 4.6 which is a huge difference. I can just as easily say pass on Jeanty for RJ Harvey who is similar in size and attributes.

We just have different opinions on Hampton which is fine. In my book he is elite and can do it all. Swift is going to be well paid this season so I just see no reason to try and pair him with Jeanty.
This. Johnson is the short yardage back that can do more but they tend to be less effective in the pros unless more wiggle, a good jump step or a sharp plant and go in zone. He's more of a momentum runner with little wiggle. Useful but there's at least 3 guys I take before him and one is he running mate. Big back is a better fit this year but Swift is gone next year. There will be big guys like Kaleb Johnson there in 3 and he's more of an everything back with power that would be good in a zone scheme.

Rick Gosslein? Everyone used to wait for his draft

I’d much rather take OT with #10 but I wouldn’t sit there pissed if Warren was the guy.

Some folks enjoy individual wins, some folks prefer to root for future wins. It's just how people are built, one isn't really right and the other wrong. It's sort of a big picture, little picture thing, we need both viewpoints.

I'm a big picture guy. I would trade a meaningless win in the hope that it leads to multiple future wins, but that's just me.

One less meaningless win and Aaron Donald is a Bear, things like that. But to each their own.

Ok but they're 1-2 injuries from having a shitty QB, or shitty RB, or shitty secondary, or shitty DL, or shitty receivers. You don't draft for depth at 10. You're looking for the biggest impact player, not someone for in case there's an injury.

That said, I don't think Warren will have a big impact, but like others have said, if Little Ben wants him then he must have a plan.

This is probably the worst case for the Bears unless someone would want to trade for Shedeur. Still, if the board falls this way, I'm taking Grant or Green at 10. I'd even have to consider the controversial pick, Warren.
