Yea, who knows, but they've been a heavily rumored team for a QB for a couple weeks now. McShay mocked Dart to them the other day. On their message board, 7 of the 8 top threads are QB related. They also already had a "Dart or Sanders" poll thread that's days old (they prefer Dart). So the fans have been thinking a lot about QB already prior to this news. Of course, that doesn't mean the FO will actually draft a QB, but I'm guessing the fans have been seeing a lot of it on their end and this just pushes it more in that direction.

It would suck for my dynasty team though... I have Rattler...

honestly if they are interested in dart it may be via trade up then after taking a guy at #9 who is BPA.

their 2nd and 2 3rd's are enough to jump to 20 and take dart there in front of pittsburgh

So... take your word for it that Ben Johnson said Tyler Warren is redundant to Cole Kmet and he said that better options will be available at #39....

Checks out.

I'm sure it's buried somewhere amongst the hours of Hoge and Johns podcasts.
He never said that BJ said that. Get your panties out of a bunch. It’s like I said, Warren is a better version of Kmet

In college. Warren could easily be ass, just like most drafted tight ends.

Remember that lapoopa draft? It was loaded with TE's and He wasnt even a top 5 TE on bruglers beast but ended up the best one.

I'm pretty confident that some other TE will be a much better pro than warren in this draft.

I mean it’s the Saints so who knows what terrible move they will make but logically they have to take one I would think 🤷‍♂️
For them, I think they take BPA and wait until next year for a QB, or throw the hail mary and take Dart.

I’m not too impressed with Ward or Sanders, and from a pure talent perspective, Dart has a better shot at making it than either of those two. And that’s still kind of a long shot. Lets you know what I think of this year’s QB class.

Walker is an intriguing prospect. When I watch him play, I see a guy that is really good in many areas, but not truly elite in any. Obviously I can be completely wrong about that.

His athleticism is off the charts though. If used correctly and if he refines some things, sky high ceiling for him.
The bears defense is slow overall, they struggle containing athletic QBs as we saw against DC. Walker is actually elite when containing and spying against those type of QBs.

He is also a great blitzer so Allen can draw up exotic packages with him. I would love him or Mike Green as an option too.

Yeah, Walker would be a good pick. His true value lies in his athleticism allowing him to be used as a chess piece, either attacking via a variety of fronts, spying, or dropping back in coverage.

He does need to work on parts of his game. Athleticism alone allowed him to win a lot in college. That won’t happen in the pros most of the time.

3 QB's going in the top 9 would be amazing for the bears.

Just need new york to do the classic dumb new york thing and take shadeur.

In that scenario maybe mason graham does actually fall to 10
I think the Raiders, Jets, and Saints are all at least possibilities. I don’t really think the Giants would do it. But if 2 are gone by 10, I think the value of Sanders at 10 starts to really go up. I think the Browns and Steelers really want a QB and I think wildcards like the Colts and Rams exist to force the Steelers or Browns to be proactive.

Right now, it’s not like next year looks amazing. I get that someone will shine… someone always does, but why wait? A year ago no one thought Penix or Nix would go high. You think those teams regret the decision? They weren’t BPA and that was a much deeper draft than this one. The options at 9 aren’t really exciting. QB seems far more obvious.

The bears have a lot of good young players at many positions.

You dont replace developing players you just drafted a few years ago. Only morons dont understand it takes time to develop draft picks.

Dexter is certainly one of those players. He has a very high upside, most DT's take 3-4 years to breakout.
That's an opinion, def not a fact.

Assuming Mike Green is there, if the Bears pass on him to take Shemar Stewart I will definitely be doing dick ripping
I am not arguing in favor of Shemar Stewart by any means, but I won’t rip my dick off if they pass on a woman abuser

“Developing”
“Drafted a few years ago”

The life cycle of NFL head coaches is 4-5 years in most cases. How much time do you think they will allow for a player to develop?

It can be. Eastern Idaho is terrible but we don’t get too much wind in Boise
I'ma heading your way in a month (actually, Stanley), have not spent any time in Idaho, gonna hit the trails in Sawtooth with my dogs and my fly-rod, you spend much time there?

Huh? Ward is so much more polished than Dart, not even close.
