Yes

He is that good in coverage and I prefer his length over Johnson’s. But Johnson is still damn good

Their length is almost identical. Johnson is 2 inches taller but Hunter’s reach is a little over an inch longer.

I agree, they’re both great CBs. I think the biggest edge Hunter might have physically is his incredible stamina. I can’t imagine him not having a full tank in the 4th Q if he only played on one side of the ball.

Regarding CB skill, I think it’s damn near a dead heat.

Johnson is a stud.

Dont get the love for travis hunter. I watched plenty of colorado games because I wanted to see shadeur.

He's good but what makes him special is he plays 140 snaps a game on both ends at a very high level. If he's playing one side in the NFL what makes him special is basically removed from the equation.

He's not the best WR or the best CB in the draft. Only way he makes sense to me at #3 is if he's playing full time corner and then rotating in at WR every so often.

But then you risk him being completely drained and get ran all over on the defensive side.

People love unicorns!

I think that is what most expect to happen.

He has terrific ball skills as a cornerback, and can then also play some on offense where he can utilize those skills as well.

I think many would argue that he is the number one cornerback and certainly is among the top two and the offensive abilities are enough to outweigh the difference between number one and number two cornerback

So I watched some of Matthew Golden last night. I am team trenches, but if I was forced to pick between him or one of the TE’s, I think I would pick him. BJ would have a field day with that guy.

Does he line up in the slot? Is he a better fit than Burden or Egbuka, considering the Bears have Rome and DJ?

This guy has Banks at 7. I think that’s the highest I’ve seen him. That would definitely start to shake up the board.

Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network put out a new mock yesterday and selected Banks Jr. for Chicago.

“10. Chicago Bears
Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

By adding Kelvin Banks Jr., Chicago continues their rebuild up front by adding a dynamic mover at the position with starter potential at both tackle and guard. Either way, Banks projects as a long-term starter at the NFL level with the positional versatility that teams covet. Corner was a thought here, also.”

The fact Biggs recently mocked Banks to the Bears is interesting too. Matt Bowen endorsed him as well.

Trading out of that pick would be much better for their long-term success, imo. I don't think any of the QBs in this draft will become franchise QBs.

Trade out, acquire picks, and just stack the roster with great football players. Focus on QB next year.

I read the Browns and Giants have both shown interest in trading with them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Travis hunter is frequently injured in the nfl. He's got a real slender build, has a ton of wear and tear already and played banged up a bit the last couple years I believe.

Also, cam ward is a good qb prospect. Callahan is going to get fired if he goes into this year with the current qb situation. Cam ward is the only real option if he has any say at all and values his job.

Still think shadeur goes #3 to the giants.

Also have a feeling the jets take warren too. Just too much smoke there. My guess is the patriots take membou, leaving will campbell for the bears.

After some reflection, I'd be okay with that pick even if it means he sits for half a season. If we extend thuney and braxton the entire OL would be making crazy money.

Unless John Mara forces Schoen to select Sanders, I can't believe a GM/HC on the hot seat would ever consider taking him at 3.

Biggs has a tendency to get the 1st round predictions correct.

He also seems pretty honed in on OT too considering his first mock was will campbell. As much as people rip on Biggs, he's probably right more often than any other bears reporter and appears to be the most connected of the bunch
