Regarding the pass rushers, I definitely think green/pearce are much better than any of the 2nd round edge players. Character concerns have knocked both of them down, but they are both top 10 talents IMO.
That's fine if you think so but the article doesn't say anything about that. It's just random "oh take this position here" for no apparent reason.

Ah, I didn’t read the article. In general, I don’t buy into the “must take this position here” philosophy. I definitely favor prioritizing certain positions when drafting early, but every draft is different and it comes down to how the board falls.

Beyond that, I think it's interesting that round 3 is the best place to address the O-line. With whom? We did last year with Amegadjie and people have already written him off forever.

Anyone that has written off Kiran “forever” aren’t too bright. None of us really know what he can be one way or another.

I got rid of X. Does Lemming still act like he has sources or does he just regurgitate info now?

I’m somewhat convinced that every single talking head on all major and local networks just regurgitate what everyone else says.

I would love for CCS to start a rumor next year about some obscure prospect is shooting up draft boards to see if anyone picks up on it.

There doesn't seem to be much behind that without giving specific recommendations on players that figure to be available. Regarding a pass rusher at #10, who will be available and worth that pick? Are we saying Green or Pearce are THAT much better than other guys that figure to be available at $39/#41 compared to tackles or running backs?

I think Green and Pearce both have higher ceilings than the DE's projected to be available at #39/#41. The questions with them are if Dennis Allen would sign off on DE's their size and the character issues.

I don't think he's saying round 3 is the best place to address the OL, he just has the other positions ranked higher on his list of needs for the Bears.

I wonder if there's any money left to spend in free agency to sign another DE, DT, OL, S, RB or whatever else that they can use to help any position that they weren't able to in the draft. There's still some really good names out there at multiple positions that can help this team.

I mean it's an article from fansided so i wouldn't put too much into that. Everyone is just putting stuff out there for clicks and sometimes they don't put very much thought into what they're putting out there.

I'm just responding to the article. Only 8 days before all this is largely answered.

and you know these GM's have an ego and aren't about to give up on him after a terrible 2024 situation.
Add in that they are expecting Braxton to return and there isn't any slam dunk OT at 10 and I would think that DL or an offensive weapon for Ben seems most likely. just my 2 cents.

Amegadjie was always a project. No training camp due to injury on top of coming from a small school. They didn't want him to see the field in year one after having both Jones and Borom but both were injured so we didn't have a choice.

It's not that I would be counting on Amegadjie to start the season as your starting LT but he's a nice developmental tackle prospect. To me, if you take Kelvin Banks Jr. at 10 then looking for a trade for Jones would be a good idea. You then pencil Banks in at starting LT with Amegadjie as the swing tackle and you're not worrying about having to pay anyone at either T position for another 2-3 years still.

I wonder where he thinks Jeanty should be picked. I'm guessing he's thinking the Raiders should go with Jeanty at #6.

Raiders make a lot of sense. I also wouldn’t rule out the jaguars as a sleeper pick

I wouldn’t trade jones in that scenario. I’m not even sure banks will end up being a long term upgrade over Braxton, yet alone this year….and we just don’t know what we have with amegadjie. Relying on him alone as your swing tackle is a bit risky. If they go OL at 10, I’m hanging on to Braxton and letting the pieces fall as they may.

The Chiefs have drafted an offensive tackle in 4 of the last 5 years and people expect they'll do it again this year.
