I admire his confidence BUT he faced a grand total of 7 guys who are projected in the top 200 coming out of college this year and they were all in the Oregon and Penn St games. Let’s chill on the “they can’t tackle me” when we are talking about guys from Portland St who will be getting their MBA in a few years, not going to the combine.

Nobody would be suggesting they use the number 10 pick on a tackle if they felt that the tackle taken at that position was not going to beat out Braxton Jones.
And to not have to pay an average at best Braxton Jones 20 million dollars a season starting next year. No thanks!
That’s fair. I mentioned it before, but there are only about 7-10 elite LTs in the NFL followed by a bunch of average/slightly above average guys, which is where I’d put Braxton. He actually graded out very well when he was healthy but health is the biggest concern.
I'd take Membou if they project he can be a LT. If not, then yea... I'd probably do it, but I would likely not choose Hampton at 13.I would make this trade 10 out of 10 times.

Therefore, I’m giving them Hampton here. After two years of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, I’m not sure that D’Andre Swift moves the needle for Ben Johnson. The Bears have a competitive defense when they’re all focusing on the play and not the opposition fans (still too soon?), so they can afford to splash out on offense.
Hampton combines blistering home-run ability with the bruising power that weakens defenses over time. If Johnson wants his new offense to dominate as the Detroit Lions did, he’ll need dominant players like Hampton.

I think it's awesome they did that to the guy that has inconvenienced others plenty in the past. Honestly, they may have brought him in for an attitude check with Rodgers wanting out of OTAs etc and decided, never mind... along with a sarcastic question.
