It’s pounding the table to cover all bases season on good ole X! All it takes is $6.99 a month and you too can be an insider!

If Schoen and Daboll feel the pressure, it makes a lot of sense to me to turn Kayvon into another player. If they get a 3rd rounder for him, that pick can even be packaged to move up for a QB, if that's what they want to do. If the Bears gave 72, they'd be able to pair it with their 2nd to move up to around 23 to take a QB. They have their own 3rd too, but this all just gives more flexibility. Walk away with Carter and Sanders and fans will be pretty happy.
That's the opposite logic I would think.

IF they are feeling the pressure, they need produce now. Trading a player like Kayvon removes production from the current team and invests in the future that Schoen and Daboll don't have (bc they are under pressure).

A defender at that selection would not be expected to outperform Thibodeaux, at least not in the short term.

I'd take that in a heartbeat
The problem is this is the logic that led the bears to trading the exact pick that turned into Cooper DeJean for Montez Sweat and thirty-second overall for Chase Claypool.

If you have so little faith in your draft process that you’re just assuming every pick after the first round or two is just going to be a bust—and that’s its just better to trade those picks away for aging (expensive) vets—then you’re just never gonna make it. The organization isn’t going to be successful. You will just wallow until you get new people in charge.

I don't disagree that they need production, but a 3rd edge is less efficient for a team with a lot of holes. Turning him into an impact player elsewhere... say a WR, TE, or RB, will help revamp the team... or play it smart and get another lineman. I get those 3 edges would be good players, but its diminishing returns if you can't have them on the field all the time. I think an extra offensive piece is important if they want Shadeur too.

Main problem is that I don't believe he's only worth a 3rd. My guess is he'd at least get a 2nd. That changes everything cause then the Giants can really make good use of that trade. If I were a Giants fan though, I'd not want to lock up so much in my edge position. They'll get more on the field impact by moving him imo. I'd like the rotation if they were a good team that could afford the luxury to not maximize their talents.

How can you having a double digit sack EDGE player is not providing production? And you really think a 3rd round pick is going to be an immediately impact player elsewhere?? I'm sorry, but miniscule chance.

Also I think we've seen it still hold true today with PHI, you can't have too many pass rushers. I couldn't disagree with you more on this one.

Monty is a force scoring TDs though, 25 in his two years in Detroit.
lol. Tell us about Jamal Williams in Detroit. And then tell us why Gibbs averages 33% more per carry. Thanks. Monty is a fine player but he’s hardly elite.

He’s had double digits in 1 of 3 years, not splitting snaps. I think it’s probably a reach to call him that going forward if he’s getting reduced snaps.

The Eagles are exactly when I referred to when I said if they had the luxury to keep 3 edges. Eagles have no holes. They also had no double digit sack guys and didn’t have 3 first round picks for edges.

If Jeanty fall to 10 they will run the pick up. We'll see if the smoke around Jeanty at #5 or more likely #6 is real or not. The question I have is if Jeanty somehow does make it past LVR, do the Bears move up to #7 to get him or do they feel confident that 7-9 won't take him?
