Then run to the podium for Mason Graham. This is a no brainer. Poles would get his mulligan on Jalen Carter
I've went back and watched . M.G a ton. I won't be shocked at all if he makes to 10 because he doesn't dent the pocket. He's very bullish vs the run and if he doesn't win right away vs the pass he never gets home. And I do mean never.

You don't have time, but you spend all day on tik tok, Twitter, YouTube, and ccs? Not buying it. You should aim higher instead of being in a one sided beef with a Twitter nobody.
There's no beef. I just don't want him coming through on my feed under any circumstances. He predicted a career year for Claypool, right before he imploded and got cut. I don't need that kind of stupid arrogance.

But on another your angry interactions with me seem very personal the last 48 hours. Did I hurt your feelings about something?

“Depends what the cost is, who the player is, the value - we are weighing those right now. We'll see on draft night." -said by every GM/asstGM before every draft. And, in point of fact, it's actually the truth. That's what their job is...

Why would teams want to trade up in a draft where the value is in the 2nd and 3rd rounds?

No, I just feel the same about your drivel as you do Ben Devine. You are the king of shit takes, so it's funny when you block others for theirs.

I really don't want to see the Bears trading up. They need to use their draft capital on starters with rookie contracts. I would prefer to see trade downs for more picks this year. Poles scares the crap out of me.
Every GM and coach and others are all playing poker. No one is saying anything that has any sort of merit.

It’s actually not. We know it’ll be the Eagles who get some new star player at the Bears expense, we just don’t know who or how quite yet.
Maybe, just maybe they will give Poles another 4th rounder for Robert Quinn because he was so amazing for them!

Well you are arguing semantics. He's a pretty good pass rusher or you wouldn't be talking about trading for him for such. It's his pass rush talent/ability I am weigher here, not actual specific stats (which I used to express that pass rush ability). And yes, the Eagles didn't have double digit sack guys because they had so many pass rushers... which is my EXACT point. It's not a luxury, it's a strength. It's the core of their defense.
I think he can be a good pass rusher, but it's not semantics to say calling him a double digit sack guy isn't accurate. That frames the convo in a different way. But whatever, the language isn't a big deal on that. We're on the same page. But further on that, for the "you wouldn't be talking about"... I could basically use the same logic you did, but ask another way. If he was a high end pass rusher that's only 24 years old, we'd not be talking about a 3rd round pick for him. They'd probably be able to ask for a first, if not multiple firsts. It works both ways. That speaks to what he is.

And, it is a luxury or everyone would do it. The Eagles would've paid to keep Sweat. The Eagles wouldn't have traded away Redick. And, the Eagles drafted well and it gave them that luxury. They didn't burn away premium assets. They took guys like Sweat and Hunt with later picks. The investment the Giants are doing is totally different. I'd also not say they have "so many pass rushers". Their 3rd edge had 3.5 sacks last year. I think they had like 2.5 sacks in the entire playoffs. This is like the Bears getting a 4th pass catcher when the OL sucked last year. Then we watch as all the pass catchers have career lows and all their values are decreased. The Giants are a horrible team and the Eagles have been consistently seen as a contender. And they've paid none of them like Burns. All of the edges on the Eagles roster combined make about the same as Burns. When you factor in Kayvon's upcoming contract, you can either drive down his value by waiting, and watch him leave for better pay, or you can overpay for a 3rd guy in snaps.

Thats fine . My track record speaks for itself. I don't throw shit against the wall. I don't watch these kids as much as I used to. But I still do a small handful of deep dives every year on some of the more polarizing or intriguing guys to try and make sense of if all.

M.G is no Jalen Carter. Carter had the ability to seamlessly chain together 2nd and 3rd pass rush moves together in college if his initial move didn't work. That's not M.G. his wrestling background really shows vs the run. Fantastic leverage and manipulation of opposing guards/centers momentum..but rushing the passer requires a different type of strength. His get off is good and his initial move is good at times. He needs work if he's ever going to become what some people have already crowned him as.
