My favorite teams
Call their bluff. They don't want to pick at 5.
Same here. I might be in the minority, but I don’t even want him if he’s available at 10. Too many good RBs in this draft.I can’t believe the number of Bears fans that are suggesting trading up for Jeanty.
I heard him mention the other day that he had McMillan at number 50

I don't know if Ben said Jeanty by name, I have to expect they don't want to tip their hand, but he talked about RB in round one, etc. We'll know in a few days what is rumor, and what is BS, and what is true. I know they want to get a RB for sure, as our RB room was towards the bottom of the NFL last year. The Bears themselves? Or mock draft guessers?
Yea... 50 is kind of silly I think. The guy is over 6'-4" and had some clock him at high 4.4s. Brugler has him at 12 and Jeremiah is at 15. It's fine to be lower, but 50?!I heard him mention the other day that he had McMillan at number 50
I saw the clip in which McShay mentioned it, but I did not catch any more detail as to why he had him so much lower than everyone else did. It may have been posted here.Yea... 50 is kind of silly I think. The guy is over 6'-4" and had some clock him at high 4.4s. Brugler has him at 12 and Jeremiah is at 15. I think he essentially says it doesn't look like he always gives full effort. Valid concern if true, but 50 is quite low.I saw the clip in which McShay mentioned it, but I did not catch any more detail as to why he had him so much lower than everyone else did. It may have been posted here.
The power of the media in full effect. Perhaps Bijan was close in hype, but outside of him I can't think of many RBs that were this hyped. Reggie Bush maybe. The FOMO is out of control with Jeanty. Honestly, has anyone ever been this hyped? I see Broncos fans hoping to move up from 20. That's just absurd. I could maybe buy a Bears move if we were talking a weak draft for RBs, but the fact that we can land a great RB in the 2nd or 3rd is a bit of a head scratcher.
The Bears would have to be absolutely desperate to move to 5. I think Jeanty will be a good player, but I also think others will be pretty good. I figure I rather have Mason/Membou and Judkins/Kaleb than just Jeanty. Hell, maybe I just wait til round 3 for Skattebo/Giddens/Harvey. But if Poles/Ben decide they need Jeanty, I'm calling the bluffs at 5 and 6. I'm not moving up til 7 at the earliest. I'm not advocating a trade, but more so just saying I really can't accept a move to 6 or higher. But... I'm also pretty convinced a good player will fall to the Bears at 10.
I agree. A run of the mill back. Nothing special. Would be really dissapointed if we spent one of our 2nd rd picks on him. I see him as a 4th rd guy..I don’t want Kaleb Johnson. He doesn’t have any speed and he’s not particularly shifty and yet he seems to think that he is. He won’t be terrible but he won’t be a difference maker.
And I don’t want Skattebo even in the third.
I think Bijan was just a couple years too early. The Saquon effect coupled with a weak draft has really skyrocketed Jeanty. I actually like Jeanty, but man... there was no one talking about a jump from the 20s up to 5 for Bijan. In fact, people were stunned when the Falcons took him at 8. In the last 15 years, there have been soooooo many total failures at RB. It's like everyone has suddenly forgotten why RBs became so devalued. The power of the media in full effect. Perhaps Bijan was close in hype, but outside of him I can't think of many RBs that were this hyped. Reggie Bush maybe.
