"Highly possible" is not the same as probable. You suggest that they could draft a backup for every position on the oline with any of their top 3 picks... They "could" but I doubt that they extend both guards and sign a center.... AND draft backup IOL with any of their top 3 picks.

The only position that they "should" draft with a top 3 pick, is LT and I dont see the point of drafting a LT prospect with a premium pick if he isn't going to be at least average in year one.

As for DL, there is an obvious need for DT to compete with Billings, so I'm all for drafting one early. 3 tech & DE are much less of a need.
Ok I was responding to this.

#10, #39, #41... those are absolutely starter level premium picks year one.
My point was simply if they take an OL or DL with any of those picks there is no guarantee they are absolutely starters year 1.

Bears are in position to go BPA within reason IMO.

Doak Walker winner and Heisman runner up so...
That's from this year. This time last year, Ollie Gordon was the Doak Walker winner, and this year is widely considered a 3rd day pick.

the rich get richer

but hes too much of a headcase for non-contending teams, i guess?
Is he really a headache though? Or is this off-season nitpicking that people do to convince themselves that a good player isn't good enough?

If Carter is a top 5 defensive player it works, if he's not them it's another massive problem in Poles strategy.

He would need Caleb and Carter to have HOF level careers to have success. Considering I was one of the loudest haul people last year it's very clearly not my preference to build a team but if Carter is Parsons 2.0 it works.
Well, we could keep trading down and have 20 picks next year.

I like Nolen and I think he’s even in play at 10 if the draft doesn’t fall the Bears way. I know people don’t want to hear that though.
I’ve been a trenches guy from the start. I’m not going to ***** if they keep addressing the lines other than with the underwear warrior.

Teams that draft well can afford to take some chances here and there.
if they draft well, then maybe its just a good pick and not any more of a "chance" or "risk" than most of these players

never seemed to be on the outside looking in. i agree, it is unfortunate that there are people out there playing with a kids future and finances

Is Jeanty a better prospect than Bijan Robinson? I’d say hell no and honestly Robinson hasn’t really done much.

Just 1500yds and 14 TDs his 2nd year, not much at all.

I just did a slew of sims to the 3rd and Jeanty was there at 10 every time. I liked it better when I got OT at 10. But I'm not the GM that brought Jeanty in for a talk.

I’m sure if you like the pick, you’ll credit Johnson. If you hate the pick, you’ll say it was Poles.

Either way if the pick hits, you’ll say it was Johnson after all.
Lol you're wrong. But nice assumption. I never credit the coach for draft picks it's the GMs job period.
