Who said anything about kicking Kmet to the curb? Ben loves to utilize 12. Pitts, Kmet, DJ, and Rome would be pretty damn sexy.

They have absolutely nothing behind Kmet. If he goes down, they have a massive hole. Also, I’m not sure that Kmet is “better” than Pitts. Kyle’s ceiling is way above Cole’s and I like Kmet.
Lions were in 12 personnel on 26% of their offensive snaps. It does rank high in the NFL; however, that means 73% of the time one of the two will be on the bench

Grant isn’t a sexy pick, and you never know for sure with the draft, but that’s the type of DL that anchors a defense for a decade while the best RB’s burn out long before then. (Which is my main reason for not wanting a RB at 10 no matter how good)
Grant reminds me of Vita Vea who is still going strong after seven years in the league. Grant is the kind of big man who can re-set the LOS on every play.

I think he’s going to be better than Vea because he’s quicker. Higher pass rush upside in addition to the traditional NT duties. He’s a monster.

I guess the Bucs don’t understand that rule either. Why re-sign Godwin when they have Evans, Otten, and a fast emerging McMillan?

Godwin makes four. Tampa Bay was number three in overall offense. I guess they need to consult with an expert.
Yes but to his point this “mythical 2 TE” offense is not what drove Detroit’s high powered offense. They had 1 TE that got all the targets while the other was used only slightly more than Everett here. NE had that 2 TE offense with Hernandez & Gronk but Hernandez wasn’t used on the line and lined up in the slot and the players were 2 different types of TE’s. Smythe is a better player than Wright so I’m guessing they are fine with him being the #2 TE—since he likely leapfrogs TE #3 Odunze.

Correct. This is why the TE speculation makes no sense but the RB unfortunately does make sense

Right, but drafting an injured guy that you knew you’d most likely have to IR that played in the ivy sure as **** isn’t trying to find a day 1 player
I think a lot of fans lose sight of the fact that a general manager’s job is not to use pics solely on day one players.

We simultaneously have posts saying that it takes time to develop certain positions as though we should avoid drafting them while also complaining when we draft them because they’re not day one impact.

You can’t keep build depth if you’re only drafting certain positions

I still don’t accept a rb in first round especially with the talent there is rn for dl. Way too many game changers in this draft to go for a rb

For me it depends on their eval of the current LT’s on the roster first.

yep.
What if they don't like Jones recovery progress and think Kiran is far away.
Campbell re-measures as combine differs from senior/hula bowl measurements and has 33+ arms and is there at 10.
Course if other teams did that, he would be gone already.

I could be okay with Hampton at the end of the 1st.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I remember this time last year, I was arguing it was a bad idea to trade for the Haul, and get MHJ and Bowers cause we’d never utilize all those weapons. Now that we have one of the most brilliant offensive minds in the game and a top end QB prospect, it’s a bad idea.

How many weapons do the top offenses in the NFL have?

We have a pro bowl caliber WR, a young WR who should be a pro bowler, and a TE who is fringe top 10.

They dont need more receivers.

I understand a RB, thats a completely different conversation.
