I’m assuming that if these players are selected, it means they’re a fit. E.g. right now, I am thinking Pearce is not an option cause his size, but I actually love Pearce. So, I’ll rank these guys as if the coaching staff championed to get them. Here is my best attempt at putting them in order.

1. Armand Membou 10
2. Mason Graham 10
3. Kelvin Banks 9
4. Will Campbell 8
5. Ashton Jeanty 7
6. Mike Green 7
7. James Pearce 7
8. Derrick Harmon 7
9. Walter Nolen 7
10. Kenneth Grant 6
11. Josh Conerly 6
12. Mykel Williams 5
13. Jalon Walker 5
14. Will Johnson 5
15. Colston Loveland 5
16. Tyler Warren 5
17. Jahdae Barron 3
18. Omarion Hampton 1
20. Shemar Stewart 0

Chicago Bears urged not to draft Ashton Jeanty by insider By Dan FappianoApril 17, 2025

Chicago Bears urged not to draft Ashton Jeanty

"Chicago must be cautious when it comes to their selection. Whoever they take in the first-round will help define the Johnson era and set the stage for the rest of the Bears’ 2025 draft class. Because of that, Marc Silverman of Shaw Local argues that Chicago should avoid using their No. 10 overall pick on Jeanty."

Honestly the tape should make both banks and williams not top 10 talents.

I wont be mad if they draft either tho

Im a braxton jones supporter but idk how you can pay that guy 22-25m next year.
Please post some tape on Banks that you analyzed other than the one Georgia game everyone harps on to come to your conclusion.

I’d be ok with Jeanty at 10 because he has real superstar power BUT only if we can get a good OT at 39

I think if they take Jeanty and want a tackle that has a legit chance at starting next year they need to trade the two seconds for another first.

I'm just going by consensus of the handful of draft analysis media people who I believe to have pretty solid track records of identifying top-10 talent year after year. Should they be taken as the word of god? No, of course not. But it seems better than using anything else, including my own opinion, or anyone else here for that matter. Their consensus seems to be that Campbell and Membou are both just better athletes than Banks (or Conerly, for that matter)...
How do you feel about the opinions of Matt Bowen, Matt Miller, Bucky Brooks, and Kyle Long?

To me, Banks looks a little slow out there. But I’m no scout or expert. But I do think he has a higher chance of sticking at LT than Campbell. I would completely understand the pick.

Banks, Jeanty, Williams, Walker, and Grant I think are all in play, and any of them would be a good pick.

Stewart is absolutely the worst case scenario in my mind at 10.
Agreed. I get it that he looks like he was built in a lab that produces DEs. He just never really produced on the field. He would be a very risky pick.

I’ve said it before. Measurables are important and helpful when evaluating a prospect. But some guys are just natural football players, and some aren’t. That is the most important measurable. Consider Jack Sawyer. He didn’t test as well as some other guys, but that dude is a football player and has shown it for many years against top competition. Stewart at 10 would not be a wise pick, imo.
