I'm a big Campbell fan. I think he can be a good LT. He's got the best feet in the draft and uses his hands well. He also played the best competition and LSU had a very heavy pure drop back offense.

Membou to me has the best feet.

Also i've seen campbell look bad against some of the first round edge prospects(Particularly verse, turner last year).

Whatever they take at #10 im fine with if its OL/DL. I wouldnt be happy with ol since that guys likely to sit for a bit but in big johnson i trust

Name one even decent LT with as short of a wingspan. They don’t exist. Campbell going to be the first player to overcome that?

Hell, his wingspan is worse than Skoronski and titans had to play Skoronski at OG….and it’s not like he played well there either. I actually think Skoronski was better at LT than Campbell too. Either way, Campbell is one of the most overrated prospects this draft right now. He will have to learn how to play guard and will struggle because of his stance

I think arm length is a big barrier for guys that lack athleticism and sound fundamentals. Imo an OTs feet and hands are more important and guys who struggle there have no chance to overcome short arms. Campbell's tape against elite opponents generally shows he's got great feet and hands. I understand the concerns, I just disagree that he can't succeed at OT.

Same was said about Skoronski. There’s a reason no player has been able to overcome those wingspan measurements in the NFL. You’re either comfortable betting on Campbell being the first player ever to do it, or he’s not an NFL LT.

I think that's an obvious choice but I think the odds of someone trading up in this class is really poor unless bears take below market return to move down

Is it below market if that’s what this year’s market is? Value varies draft to draft depending upon talent available and need.

Like if they trade with Miami to 13 and only get a 4th I am not going to kill them for it in this draft. That would be light per the draft chart. But that may be the cost of business this year. (Just pulling an example out of my ass here)

I respond on a burner to a bunch of his tweets saying he's a moron and guaranteed us the bears would keep fields and take the haul. He still hasnt engaged me.

I guess i'm not doing the trolling correctly :()

Tell him he is a has been who hasn’t worked in the NFL for years. That always works for me

I mean there's a chart that says what a picks value should be. Bears won't get that value

Yeah. I mean I am fine with trading back if you still get a player you value in 1 and add another pick that can be a player that contributes immediately. That value on compensation could initially look real bad to fans and even others execs in the league

Here’s another way to consider this:

Would this year’s #1 overall pick fetch the same as last year’s #1 pick?

Probably not because the QB’s aren’t as desirable this year.

Value fluctuates yearly depending upon talent is my point.

Other execs would get that. Some fans would. The meatballs would go bUt tHe cHafart….

Overall I still think it's unlikely the bears find a trade partner.

And deep ball accuracy should be real high on Caleb's list of things he needs to get better at. The previous coaching staff hurt his growth in that area even more by rarely letting the kid throw deep balls.
Under Johnson it will be more controlled in a play action environment. I think the targeting will be highly controlled and Williams will get better.
