You are going to ask for the moon, but generally it does not work out that way. The way I see it to trade down in this draft that is not considered a great draft like last year, is you have to find someone who is desperate for that one player they need. The Rams fit that with the age of Stafford. That being said, I really don't think you are going to get a future 1st out of the Rams, two 3rd rounders and a 2026 second maybe.
If that is the case, then bears should stay put at 10 and take that impact player themselves instead of the rams

The way I see it the Bears are not a complete team, they are not a single player away from a Super Bowl run. In this draft for the Bears the more picks the better. There is a lot of talent in this draft, just not enough blue-chip, can't miss talent.

Probably, if Swift is in the long term plans, but if Ben Johnson is ready to dump after '25 you could live with having both on the roster for 1 season. I do think Bears are more likely to grab one of Judkins or Kaleb Johnson in the 2nd though.
I guess it doesn't matter the order of picking the types of backs, but wouldn't mind a big guy this year like Judkins, Kaleb, or Skat, and then think about someone like Jeremiyah Love next year to make the tandem.

If I’m trading from 10 all the way down to 26, I want both their 3rd rounders and their 2027 1st as a starting point. Probably another pick in 2027 too. Problem is the Rams are probably going to be good again next year so their 1st next year would be another late 1st.
2026, right? You probably can't get all of that from the Rams. Depending on how they value the future 1st, it might be too rich as-is and require the Bears return a pick (roughly 4th round value).

I think Jeanty is pretty clearly a special back, competition be damned. The question becomes how special and what's the value to that level of special at the RB position.
That level of special, I would have no qualms about him @10. That said, we need to finish what we started on OL. Jones is serviceable at best and replaceable. I would not be upset with whoever they want to take Membou, Campbell… I have very little faith in Braxton and we are all waiting to see if Kiran will develop into something. Give me OL and any RB they deem fit for the scheme in the second round. Kaleb Johnson ran a bunch of zone scheme in college. I’ve liked him from the start even before all the smoke with Jeanty

I'm probably on the same page. I figure there are 4 guarantees to be gone at 10, so I need 6 players. I think 5 of those 6 guys are Campbell, Membou, Jeanty, Walker, Green. Otherwise, I like Grant and Will Johnson too. I think I'd strongly prefer a trade down for anyone else and Grant is already debatably a trade down pick. In a trade down, I'd be good with Conerly, Banks, Nolen, Hampton. Unfortunately, I don't think the Bears will even consider Green. I'm also not sure they'd consider Walker. Having Sanders and someone like Tet or Dart get into the top 9 would be great.

Maurice Jones Drew confirmed as clueless…
Mason Graham was on the board too.

If they did this, I would start posting like @ILoveDick

From his mock…

“Pick 10

Chicago Bears
TreVeyon Henderson
Ohio State · RB · Senior

I know it would be a surprise to a lot of folks if Henderson is picked in the top 10, but he's my No. 2 RB in the draft and we saw how much success Detroit had with two running backs at the center of Ben Johnson's offense. Now the new Bears head coach adds a versatile and explosive back to pair with D'Andre Swift, giving Chicago a one-two punch in the backfield. Plus, Henderson excels in pass protection, making him an option on all three downs.”

Passing on Graham too... imagine that dick ripping. I think the city would burn.

I meant 2026, yeah. Moving up from 26 requires a haul, even in this draft. I wouldn’t really budge. You could argue they’re getting off cheap

#26, both of their 3rds this year, 2026 1st is the baseline…and maybe a 2026 4th as a sweetener

Yea maybe. I guess it comes down to who is there at 10 and how much they value that player. Unless it's some particularly special player, it's probably hard to get much value beyond the trade charts. Take the Fields trade as an example. The Bears gave up 20, a 5th, future 1st, and a future 4th for a QB that slipped a bit farther than expected. QBs make sense given the premium of the position.

In this case, asking for more than 2 1sts and 2 3rds is aiming high without a pretty surprising player being there at 10. It would need to be a blue chip at a pretty important position. There is a difference in value between 11 to 20 and 10 to 26, but that's equal to about a 3rd round pick. The rest of the trade was a current 5th and future 4th, which would be considerably less value than a current 3rd. So, I don't think asking for the moon would work. And again, the player would have to be so special that they feel the trade has to be for the 10 spot instead of maybe something a little lower.

I see no problem with late 1st round picks. Every draft has multiple day one starters in the late 1st as will this one. Just look at the players that are projected to go late 1st in this draft.

Gotta love MJD and his kooky things he says though.

i get the sentiment, but the reality is we have 2 WR's that are very good, then 1 vet that is mediocre at best on a short term deal, and then a bunch of bums

investing a rookie contract(im sure you see what WR's are getting in FA lately) into a young #3 WR that can emerge to become more than that in a pass happy NFL is a valuable resource to have.

not to mention if god forbid something happens to moore or rome or both of them. then what? what appears to be a somewhat strength of the roster can turn south pretty quick
True. I'd like Egbuka in the 2nd. Could we possibly go Warren, Hampton, Egbuka? Or Jeanty, Loveland/Fannin, Egbuka? Probably doesn't happen since we seem to need guys at so many other positions. But it could be an interesting draft.

definitely

it is just weird of him to claim that TEN put peter at G because they were drafting a LT the draft after peters lol

like, TEN somehow has the foresight to know who they are drafting in the future and that dictated where they were playing peter in the present?! make it make sense lol

My sources tell me Poles has a multi year plan. You won’t believe who they are picking in 2027 after two trade downs.

Half the people on this forum could gain 3 yards with the holes they created...

That being said, Jeanty is hard to tackle and makes people miss, a lot.

I’m not sure halve the people on this forum can climb the stairs to leave their mom’s basement
