Shows why we should not buy into what all of these so-called draft experts are selling.

You might as well tell him Happy New Year
Yes.He was thrashing around B&I within the last month or so.
Has he disappeared again?
Thing about Graham this past season is even though he carried a lot of sloppy weight playing at 320 he still had a hell of a year. I think that is why he shed so much weight for the combine. Playing closer to 305 or so should help his game. You are absolutely right about Donald though. No way anyone should compare Graham to Donald.Donald actually has long arms especially for his size…and he had infinitely more production than graham in college. Not to mention was way more athletic and strong. He fell due to his height/weight and really, just pure stupidity. It was obvious he was going to be a stud
He just said he's open to it in his presser. You know how I feel about Wright at LT and Poles as GM so maybe you tell us how wonderful of an idea it will be for Wright to shift to LT.
Ok now I’m starting to think there is just too much smoke for something not to happen.
Not really the same logic but I see the link you're making. For one, third round picks aren't expected to be starters when they come in. Second, I'm not certain that this team would have drafted Cooper Dejean, but did need a DE, and Sweat is worth that pick. Third, that line about the thirty-second pick is tiresome, but notice that right now the team knows what slot this third round pick is now.The problem is this is the logic that led the bears to trading the exact pick that turned into Cooper DeJean for Montez Sweat and thirty-second overall for Chase Claypool.
If you have so little faith in your draft process that you’re just assuming every pick after the first round or two is just going to be a bust—and that’s its just better to trade those picks away for aging (expensive) vets—then you’re just never gonna make it. The organization isn’t going to be successful. You will just wallow until you get new people in charge.
Don’t waste your time. He won’t be able to reply for a very long time because he can’t stop being a douche canoeNot really the same logic but I see the link you're making. Here, you are getting a pass rusher that would come in and start, who has put up double digit sacks in this league and who does deserve a pretty penny in return. You are getting it with a pick that could legitimately go to DE, and you are getting one that you can count on being better than a rookie. That's a targeted investment, and one I think you can be more confident than one is in Claypool, and is far cheaper than the price to bring in Sweat. You can't build a team that way, but you can bring in an important role player or two that way
No shyte Sherlock. Do you think it's a good idea? Does @bamainatlanta think it is?He just said he's open to it in his presser.
I have no fucking clue if it's a good idea or not. In a vacuum? Like, can he be viable there? Maybe but the only way we'll find that out is if they end up drafting a guy who can only play , or was a world beater at RT like Membou and I don't see that happening. No shyte Sherlock. Great addition to the thread.
Hah, I see! Well, honestly, you never know who else might share that opinion, and the post I responded to had a lot of opinion in it that is quite popular. I don't think a three year vet is trading away for an aging asset, as the player should be hitting their prime in the following seasons, but lots of people could feel the other way. So let's consider that an assessment "for the room" instead of for Montucky.Don’t waste your time. He won’t be able to reply for a very long time because he can’t stop being a douche canoe
Yes you do.I don't know how to feel about this if it's the Bears.
I want quality over quantity. A true star would be nice.I really don't want to see the Bears trading up. They need to use their draft capital on starters with rookie contracts. I would prefer to see trade downs for more picks this year. Poles scares the crap out of me.
