Yea, and they just took brian thomas jr and have ettiene(I know he's struggled lately) and bigsby at RB.

They dont need an offensive player. That team is HOT trash because of defense and their inability to get to the quarterback. Their starting DT last year had 5 total pressures, and they want to pass up mason graham to potentially draft an RB?

I pray to god mason graham falls to #10, that would be a fucking homerun.

Erik Armstead had 36 pressures. He plays DT in their 4-3 even though he's listed at DE.

They need players all over the field. Past Thomas their WR are very bad, they have no TE really at all, their CBs are bad and thin. They could use DT but it's one among several positions.

A very good, disruptive DT would help the back-end out quite a bit. But just reading the tealeaves, they hired Liam Cohen who's an offensive guy who then basically picked his GM. Coen was hired to fix Lawrence and it'll be easier to do that with a big-time weapon at his disposal. McMillan alongside Thomas, Jeanty to take over the backfield or even Warren/Loveland would make sense... moreso the receiving weapons anyway. Loveland seems like a nice fit even though that's awfully high for a TE in general.

If New England rolls with Will Campbell like most expect them to then #5 is where the draft really starts.

Yea, you're right, but that's kind of why this is a crappy spot to draft. Membou is an upgrade to both their tackles. Little always gets banged up and Harrison is a bit of an unknown for now. Don't forget, Little was on the bench for Cam Robinson before Darrisaw went down and the Vikings traded for him. Cam is an ok OT, and Little being benched for him, being younger, says something about where they value him.

I understand if they prefer to keep that crew and pass on Membou, but the OL in Jacksonville needs work. Guard is the bigger need, but again, no way at 5 overall. So... my thinking is Membou locks down the RT spot. If Little shows signs of not lasting with his iffy knees, then Membou can slide to the left side one day. The hope would be that Harrison can then find a home inside. But, who knows... maybe Little moves inside or maybe they don't love Little enough to begin with. And ultimately, my real point is I don't love picking at 5 if I'm the Jaguars. I rather move down and get better value cause offense at 5 doesn't seem like the best fit.

Etienne had a hammy and shoulder last year as well, they could grab another RB later. (like everyone)
Coen had Godwin alongside Evans in TB, he might just want a BJT/TET combo too. Tet currently at +450 at #5.

I think if they were able to move down a couple of slots, Tet is the guy. I think they're in a position where they feel it's a bad value pick at 5 and throwing smoke out there to get someone to hand them a free day 2 pick.

Also, Lawrence's best years in college were with two 6'-4" WRs (Higgins and Ross). So, not only would Coen like his big security blanket WR to be Evans, Lawrence likes it. They also lost Engram and Kirk, so they've currently downgraded their pass catchers and will almost certainly add a new WR2 in this draft... especially after Coen completely neglected to mention Davis when talking WR2s for the team.

That'd be a homerun. Then you could likely slide down in the 2nd a bit to recoup that 3rd if you have to have one, though with Poles' 3rd round track record, probably best not to.

The narrative that the tackles could go higher than most people expect is one I can believe. Teams are hurting for tackles, what with all these guys that people says "he'd be better as a guard" and the volume of good D-line players in this draft. Banks could very easily not be available there.

Shows the Bears are all in on improving the edge position too. (Which most of us knew already. But just more confirmation)

#5 = 1700 points

#10 + #72 = 1530 points.

Adding a future 3rd in there might get the job done if they're desperate enough to move down and pick up more picks. But yea, I don't do that for Jeanty, I do that for Graham only. Then you're looking at adding to the O-line and scooping up your RB with #39 and #41.

I see how this worked out for the Bears, but I've heard a lot of times that Banks' floor is the Dolphins. If that's Poles' real target, it's dangerous to move behind them. If Mason truly fell that far, I can see the logic of "I'll get at least Banks or Graham", but I can't see that really happening. Someone may move up and scoop Mason. It's also a hell of a gamble at 10 to assume Nolen and Booker go 11 and 12.
