This OT situation will be very interesting indeed..
#Bears GM Ryan Poles is on ESPN 1000 right now. He made it sound like they'll start Ozzy Trapilo off at LT & go from there.
He said they would like to have things stable by the time they hit training camp, so they aren't shuffling guys around in camp.

No offense to Major but its just really tough having that first and last name and being a safety. Like if he was DE you could joke around about how the QBs about to be in the BURN UNIT or some dumb shit but only one thing getting burned for your Safety. Its like having a WR named Will Drops - works for a linebacker but theres not a lot of spin available for the WR.“NFL Draft 2025’s best undrafted free agent fits: One player to watch on each roster
Chicago Bears: Major Burns, S, LSU
A jumbo safety, Burns (6-2, 207 pounds) lacks top-end speed but has enough burst and strength to be a factor. He played all over the field for LSU, taking reps as a box safety, free safety, slot corner and even as an edge rusher.”

It would not shock me if a mature technician that will listen and absorb every word Roushar says to him, takes this job before Braxton even gets a chance to finish healing. It would be a fantastic development for the team.
That would be awesome wouldn't it.
They clearly didn't think that highly of Ersery when they traded down from 41 who went 8 picks before Ozzy.
As long as he eventually starts at either OT, that will end up being a pretty savvy trade.
All aboard the crazy train!
I heard he has really good jokes, like some Major Burns on people. No offense to Major but its just really tough having that first and last name and being a safety. Half joking on above.

The reality is Teven was simply not good last year, and he's always injured. He was good earlier in his career but he was not good last year.Honestly expected Tev to get much more interest in FA than he did. Would have loved to keep him as a backup for $3m but I know he was never coming back here to be a damn backup.
I wouldn't even consider him a "miss", he just was a major disappointment with how often he was hurt. He was pretty solid when he did play but I guess you cant depend on a player like that. You need cohesion on the OL and starting a guy who will almost be guaranteed to miss 30% of snaps in a given year isnt a good spot to be in.
