Wood is a statistics teacher at a Community college, he is a 100% look at the numbers and ignore all possible subjective context guy. Which isnt me trying to shit on him, but its important to understand who he is/what hes doing - he has no inside information and is probably looking at some advanced "% open against man coverage" stat and isnt actually recalling from memory why DET moved on from Hockenson. Also Wood is completely incorrect about Hockenson. Been reading Hock wanted to reset the TE market but his production and numerous games missed to go along with his differences with the coaching staff forced their hand to ship him out.
Oh I love the numbers but sometimes they don’t always tell the whole storyWood is a statistics teacher at a Community college, he is a 100% look at the numbers and ignore all possible subjective context guy. I believe both have run 40s in the past. These players are starting to put a nail in the coffin to all of these non football relevant drills.
Jeanty didn't run and Skattebo won't either.
The crazy thing was OUR Adrian Peterson ran a 4.65,yet often looked more explosive as a ball carrier than Benson. The Bears were ahead of the curve on Plug and Play RBs....
Except it was Plug and Couldn't Play in this case...
If the report, I saw yesterday is true that Braxton Jones is still walking with a noticeable limp months after his ankle injury.............Will Cambell come on down. Here’s the current list of top 30 visits for the Bears. Nothing has changed but if anyone sees an update, please post it.
Chicago Bears
OT Josh Conerly Jr. (Oregon)
RB Ashton Jeanty (Boise State)
OL Will Campbell (LSU)
LB Nick Martin (Oklahoma State)
RB Brashard Smith (SMU)
WR Isaiah Bond (Texas)

Yes, it was a terrible pick.Cedric Benson ran 4.55 and went #5 in round one. I still that's ridiculous 20 years later.
Bensons career numbers came from sheer number of carries. His career yards per carry was bad.The crazy thing was OUR Adrian Peterson ran a 4.65,yet often looked more explosive as a ball carrier than Benson.
Bensen became somewhat decent after he left the Bears and played for CIN. Kinda funny.Bensons career numbers came from sheer number of carries. His career yards per carry was bad.
For those that love Kenneth Grant
His YPC was still shitty even with Cincy. They just fed him the ball a lot.Bensen became somewhat decent after he left the Bears and played for CIN. Kinda funny.
With MPH measurements in their pads there's really no reason for them to ever run the 40. The risk of a hamstring injury that then hurts their draft stock and hurts their rookie mini camp OTAs and veteran mini camp availability. Draft the guy not based on his 40 but what you've seen on tape. Then grow him over in practices leading up to training camp.I believe both have run 40s in the past.
Arizona State football running back star Cam Skattebo reportedly ran a 40-yard dash in the 4.53-4.57 range at his private workout Thursday in front of NFL scouts, per scouts in attendance.

Hard to say. Probably a round two guy because he is a lot like David Montgomery with better hands in the passing game than Monty had. What round will he be selected?
He’ll be lucky to get drafted in round 2Hard to say. Probably a round two guy because he is a lot like David Montgomery with better hands in the passing game than Monty had.
