2nd round guy with that 40 time. RB2 or 3 in this class IMO.
I actually think he’ll go in the 2nd with that number. I think Harbaugh would cream his pants if he’s there in the late 2nd.He’ll be lucky to get drafted in round 2
All you had to do was question his devotion to football...Bensen became somewhat decent after he left the Bears and played for CIN. Kinda funny.
I've been wrong before, God knows, but I am not sure they are going to draft a LT in the first. Some draft notes in this article and one specifically about the Bears…
“Chicago Bears eye Texas offensive tackles Kelvin Banks as top NFL Draft target
A few weeks ago, I wrote that Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks would be the best choice for the Chicago Bears with the 10th overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. It now appears that General Manager Ryan Poles may share that view, as he was in attendance for Texas’ Pro Day on March 25.
Targeting Banks makes perfect sense for the Bears, primarily because he is the top left tackle prospect in this draft class. He possesses elite footwork, is one of the most athletic linemen available, and has been dominant on the field. This season, he was named a unanimous All-American while allowing just one sack.
"If I can say, ‘Guys, who do I want you to emulate? I want you to emulate Kelvin Banks. The way he’s gone about his business has been tremendous."
Texas Head Coach Steve Sarkisian
Chicago is expected to address the left tackle position in the draft, given that Braxton Jones has been a middle-of-the-pack performer and is coming off a fractured fibula. Adding Banks, alongside offseason acquisitions like Drew Dalman, Joe Thuney, and Jonah Jackson, would significantly bolster an offensive line that surrendered an NFL-high 68 sacks last season.
Another player the Bears showed interest in during Texas’ Pro Day was running back Jaydon Blue. Running backs coach Eric Bieniemy was also in attendance, likely keeping a close eye on Blue, who showcased his explosiveness with a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. The Bears could target him as a potential third-day selection.”

NFL Draft Notebook: Patriots next moves, Bears OL fix, and a rising TE prospect
With the 2025 NFL Draft now less than a month away, the outlook for teams is coming into focus. Whether it’s the New England Patriots securing a key free agentnflmocks.com

At the end of the day it really depends on how this draft falls and who is available at 10.....
If they think there is a can't miss player, just take him no matter the position and don't look back.
No one has a clue until draft day but I think we all have an understanding of which position groups they will target at 10.Right now, I really don’t have a clue what they’ll do and I’ve advocated for and been correct about the last three first round picks.
Banks is the best LT in the draft so I guess we'll see. Some draft notes in this article and one specifically about the Bears…

They are going to draft an OT at some point in the draft. They have to.
If they draft one in the first, does Jones stick around? Do the Bears keep him? Does he demand a trade.
Who then is the swing tackle.
They will still have a problem of backup tackle. What if they draft a guy in the first that tanks horribly. They would be in a worse position.
Would you be OK with them drafting him?Banks is the best LT in the draft so I guess we'll see.
Jones isn’t even healthy. He’s not demanding a trade. They need youth and competition at OT. Plus, Kiran hasn’t proven anything other than he wasn’t ready last season.
Draft one and let them compete. If Jones is afraid of competition, he’s not the guy!

Even if Jones demands a trade, why would the Bears have to accommodate a mediocre 5th round player coming off a bad injury? The Bears own his rights and there isn't a damn thing he could do about it. Sitting out in a contract year would be a terrible look.
They don't have to give him anything, but if he has a shitty attitude as the swing tackle it may be better to move on him in a trade.Even if Jones demands a trade, why would the Bears have to accommodate a mediocre 5th round player coming off a bad injury? Maybe he will accept his fate and possibley lose millions of dollars and keep quiet. I doubt it though.

Gonna laugh when it’s a DB
Unlike some posters, I’m not going to freak out if it’s a DB. It could well be the top value/talent on the board when they pick. It’s not what I want, but I could understand it.
