Man, It would suck to draft a TE who may not even be an improvement from cold cement.

It would suck even more to see the packers get the best cb in the draft at fucking #23, essentially patching one of if not their biggest weakness.

Then they are getting one of my favorite DT's in the 2nd. While the bears reach for another project OT instead who's ceiling is average in the NFL...we already have one of those.

Fantastic draft if you are a packers fan I guess.

Meh. That’s not a pick I would lose any sleep over.

Quick question for the room...

Why is no one talking about the two most interesting tidbits I found out about recently in the "Beast"?

#1 Will Cambell has had a ton of flags over the last couple of seasons: 14 flags with 7 false starts.

#2 Ashton Jeanty has had a lot of fumbles: 5 last season (one called back for penalty) and 9 in the last two seasons.

We probably won't hear about them at all until right after the Bears draft one of them I'm sure.
On Will Campbell, I have mentioned this and how overrated he has been before on CCS…but nobody listens lol

Dane Brugler just released a 7 round mock at The Athletic. Here are the results for the NFC North.

Chicago Bears

1 (10). TE Tyler Warren, Penn State
2 (39). RB TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State
2 (41). OT Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
3 (72). Edge Jack Sawyer, Ohio State
5 (148). S Jaylen Reed, Penn State
7 (233). LB Cody Lindenberg, Minnesota
7 (240). DT Kyonte Hamilton, Rutgers

1: Hate the Warren pick.
2: A+ pick. (Don’t think he lasts that long)
2: B+ pick. (Also not sure he lasts that long)
3: A pick.

Don’t know any of the other players so won’t comment. But they fill needs.

Are the Raiders really picking Jeanty at 6? I wonder what Chip Kelly thinks about that?
I have been on the train that Jeanty to the Raiders at 6 doesn’t make sense and I’ll need to see it happen to admit I’m wrong. There’s a lot of reasons why, and this is one of them. It’s otherwise a bad idea for that team and I think it’s even worse for Jeanty’s career. If a team drafts a RB, don’t waste his prime years like Saquon. Be ready to play meaningful games cause RBs have the least amount of those.

I don't think the Bear go OT in the 1st 2 rounds unless it's BPA. I doubt they take 1 player he's projected though Warren (meh) and Henderson(y) are possibilities. That's not a slam. It's still useful and fun tool for a general perspective on prospects. Hoping an early pick has value at DL.

Is Mark Andrews going to be traded prior to or during the draft? Here are teams that are possible landing spots per CBS Sports.

“Colts

The Colts struggled in the tight end position last season, ranking No. 31 in yards with 467 total from their TEs. Indy doesn't have a solid quarterback situation heading into 2025, and whether it's Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson, the offense could use a veteran pass catcher like Andrews to boost production. Last season, Kylen Granson led the team among tight ends, coming in at just 14 total receptions with 182 yards.

Bears

The Bears were expecting a lot from their offense behind rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, but a lackluster season that included the firing of head coach Matt Eberflus did not go as they planned. The team hired former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson this offseason, taking his first head coaching gig. With Detroit, Johnson was able to get solid work out of his star tight end presence in Sam LaPorta, and as an offensive-minded coach could easily fit another top tight end into his schemes. Chicago has Cole Kmet as their No. 1 tight end right now; he finished last season with 474 yards on 47 receptions.

Jets

The Jets are another team who struggled in the tight end category in 2024, coming in at No. 26 in the league in yards from tight ends (601). They are also entering a new era with a new head coach in Aaron Glenn and a new quarterback in Justin Fields. The offense never seemed to get going last year under future Pro Football Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, whom the team decided to part ways with after the year. Tyler Conklin was the team's top tight end in 2024, finishing with 449 yards and 51 receptions.”

Mark Andrews landing spots: Top fits for veteran TE with Ravens GM noncommittal about trading him before draft

I would be a hard no!

Mel Kipers new 4 round mock.
1 (10). TE Tyler Warren
2 (39). RB TreVeyon Henderson
3 (41). DE Nick Scourton
4 (72). Aireontae Ersery

So Scourton or Sawyer. Problem with Mel's is obviously Ersery being on the board at pick #72.

Detroit Lions
