But you still can't read. Even this blurb talks about what they thought before the 2024 season. Do you seriously think people's opinion shouldn't change after an additional season and players don't improve in their final college season? Your previous statement was about what amateur scouts thought a month ago. How fried is your brain these days?
Holy ****! He watched a highlight reel of a Texas safety then started rattling on about a Missouri OT rapid rise in draft stock and expected other people to know who he was talking about? What a moron.

Membou has basically been viewed as a top 10 pick since around the time of the senior bowl.

Would this be with excluding Josh Simmons from the list or including him?

I have zero interest in Simmons. Someone on this board that obviously works in the healthcare field, gave a pretty damning prognosis.

Yes, and I was speaking about the community not one person. This is why I used the phrase community. Because there are a lot of people saying he might be the first OT off the board.

Edit here's proof of that

I think you are correct on the oline. I’m split between Banks and Conerly with Ersery right in the mix. DT all I would do is add Grant to the mix. I know he’s a different style but man is he quick/fast for his size
I like Grant, but I sort of put him on the side after seeing Allen doesn't typically use the heavier DTs. The only guy with significant snaps, over 315 lbs, was Saunders... and he was 3rd in snaps his 2 years there. Maybe I'm wrong in what Allen wants for the Bears, but I'm thinking he's probably going to want those guys that are a bit smaller and a bit quicker. If they draft him, I'd be a big fan of the move though.

Bust QB draft class incoming...

2025 NFL Draft: Why history suggests this year's quarterback class will likely be a bust

The number of quarterbacks selected in the first round has been a good indicator of how the entire class will turn out

Fewest QBs drafted in 1st round in past 20 years

20221Kenny Pickett
20131EJ Manuel
20152Jameis Winston & Marcus Mariota
20102Sam Bradford & Tim Tebow
20082Matt Ryan & Joe Flacco
20072JaMarcus Russell & Brady Quinn
Of the 10 quarterbacks drafted in the first round in those classes (see above) ...

  • Only two got a second contract with their draft team (Matt Ryan/Joe Flacco: both 2008)
  • Only two made a Pro Bowl (Jameis Winston/Matt Ryan) and Winston was a Pro Bowl replacement the only year he made it (2015)
  • Half have 20 or fewer touchdown passes in their entire NFL careers (includes Pickett)

Even if he thinks the video of a safety is about banks for some reason, he's still talking out of his ass. It's pretty much universally accepted that banks is likely the 3rd OT off the board and that has been the case for a while
No he actually made the post to a post i made of a tweet with a video about Mukuba the safety from Texas.

No i'm not advocating taking Simmons as the first LT off the board, the talk was who was the best LT in the draft and you said Banks so i was just asking if that was with you including Simmons in that debate or not.

Simply trying to figure out if Simmons or someone else is your best LT in this draft if there was no health worries with him.

Don’t discount Rocket Raheim Sanders or Bhayshel Tuten. Taking that kind of speed/power combination or just raw speed would be great. I’d be happy with Tuten in the 3rd.
They talked to or brought in RB Jaydon Blue from Texas who's got the speed.

Texas had ridiculous amounts of speed last year. They basically lost to OSU all because of 2 plays; the Henderson 75screen TD at the end of the half and the Sawyer fumble return TD at the goal line.

Watch him get out in space to pick off linebackers and safeties at the second level and tell me how slow he is.
He looked pretty quick on tape I agree. I was surprised he ran that slow, and didn't rerun. If the NFL chooses to make OT's run a 40 yard dash and they prefer big guys that run sub 5 times... I dont see why fans get irate at other fans and proclaim how stupid it is (Not saying that you reacted that way).

His 3-cone time was also very slow which reflects a guy that has trouble changing direction and I think that is also shown in his tape. Either way, I'm not attacking your choice of Banks, just making conversation. I like him more than Campbell and think he will be a good player.

See I did not know that. For some reason I thought he liked the bigger guys. Truthfully I haven’t really dove that deep into it. I knew he liked the bigger DE’s, maybe that’s where I got it, or maybe I just don’t know wtf I’m talking about…..that’s most likely

I like that too. How would you see somebody like Tuten working with Swift? Tuten at 5-11 and 209 isn't a bruiser, and I don't see Swift as a bruiser either (5'9" and 216). Hampton, Judkins, and Kaleb are 6'0" and 220.

Raheim is 6'0" and 230—how he can be so fast, IDK. But that's interesting, too.

I like that too. How would you see somebody like Tuten working with Swift?
I don’t see it as working with Swift as working with RoJo. Swift is just a guy. Tuten is the fastball. If he can get his fumbling together, who the **** cares about Swift? Phase his ass out. RoJo or another big back can move the chains.

The Rocket is a great pick for where he’s projected to go. Taking Tuten AND Rocket would be great, since they’re both projected to be later round picks.

I'll add that I'm not trying to box-in what Allen may do. I only looked through 5 years of the Saints D. I'm just hunting the snap counts and don't know the context of the roster construction or reason for why they had who they had, but was just something I noticed. Their top two DTs in snaps were always 315 or less. Also, not relevant to this discussion, but he never had any of these guys primarily lining up in the A gap, even the bigger guys.

If you're curious, here's the list since 2020 of the top 3 in snaps (in order of most snaps to lowest):
2020: Onyemata (300 lbs), Rankins (305 lbs), Brown (320 lbs)
2021: Tuttle (300 lbs), Onyemata (300 lbs), Ringo (300 lbs)
2022: Onyemata (300 lbs), Tuttle (300 lbs), Street (287 lbs)
2023: Shepard (315 lbs), Bresee (305 lbs), Saunders (324 lbs)
2024: Bresee (305 lbs), Shepard (315 lbs), Saunders (324 lbs)

This doesn't mean there's no way they take Grant though. I'm just guessing based on the above. The reason he may like Grant is Grant did primarily line up in the B gap at Michigan, so it may make sense.

I forgot about that kid. Yeah, he seems to fight the lightning bolt smaller back profile. I could see him as a returner more than a running back, at first. He is definitely on the table.
