On the third shot, how did you pull that look off with the sun (EXIF data if you have it)? Been trying to figure it out and haven't yet. Really nice shots!

Mods, can you merge this thread with the other one I just replied to?

This was from the catacombs- 30 seconds of exposure. it is VERY dark and they will kick your ass out if you use a flash.

Photography is what I do for a living. Here are a few Senior Portraits from the last couple of years. I do about 150 Seniors every year and they are by far my favorite age group to photograph.

That's cool man :) Curious about something. When you are on your downtime do you ever go out and try to shoot some different stuff? Meaning, portraits are paying your bills...so is an itch to go out and be totally creative without worrying about what someone else thinks about what you're doing (clients, students, parents, whatever)? Or is it more like, **** that camera...I'm going to do something else (painting, writing, whatever)?

I got into photography recently for that very reason. I am often paid to be creative, but photography falls outside that area. So basically it gives me the outlet to be creative without any constraints. It's "mine" in other words. If people like it, cool. If not...don't give a shit.

What was the ISO / aperture on that? I am assuming you used a tripod unless you have the most steady hands in the world :)

Well, right now I am so freakin busy with family and getting everything ready for the busy season I don;t have time for much of anything. To answer your question, I do not go out clickin the shutter very much anymore but I really do enjoy it when I do. I always do a lot on vacations and stuff but not a lot of just heading out with the camera. Kinda got into HDR for awhile and spent every evening out taking pictures for a coupe of weeks last fall though.

I cheated- I sat the camera on a big stone!
that pic is acutally cropped- i took myself out of it. In the original I am sitting off to the right grinning like a fool.

Hehehe.

I'm going to go shoot some hot air balloons over the weekend, looking forward to it. Right at dusk...should make some for some good shots. Hopefully some interesting cloud cover getting lit up from the setting sun, fire from the balloons, all the bright colors from the balloon material etc. Provided I can get the light hitting right :) . Will post here if I get anything good.

We saw some hot air balloons in the mountains of Tennessee on the way to the game against the Titans last year. I wish we could have stopped and taken some pictures. They were amazing to look at with the mountain scene behind them.
