I'd like to have him for another 3 years. Him and Langford can be a filthy 1-2 punch

It's going to happen eventually buddy. Can't play forever.

Well no shit, thanks for stating the obvious. Even you can admit hes playing pretty lights out right now considering his age.

Forte is going to want like 3 years 30 million with 18 guaranteed money. Going rate for top backs is ten million annually now. He won't get another chance at a payday.

Damn, they should have signed him when they could have got him for 3/12M.

Still should try to trade him before the deadline if the right offer comes across the phone. There are no rules against resigning him in the offseason either if he does get traded.

He'll want Frank Gore's deal Forte and his Agent know what he's worth and what he wants. He has a home in Chicago and lives here so he may accept less to stay at home.

He's already stated he understands his age is a big factor and he doesn't expect a big payday

I think the risk is worth a 3 year moderate contract with performance and snap escalators.

I can't find the full quotes but some of the partials were that he understands the team has the leverage because of his age and he was compensated correctly four years ago and expects they will do the same this time.

Not pay the same but compensate correctly.

I agree, pay him and lock him up until he retires.

If they re-sign Forte, I imagine they will give him all his money up front next year...i guess they could franchise him.
