Evan Brophey -- Brophey continues to establish himself as a 3rd line center. Brophey is a solid shut down center, plays very well in both ends of the ice.

Kyle Beach -- Beach’s inconsistency and poor play is why he isn’t in the NHL and getting 3rd line minutes with the Icehogs. He hasn’t had any type of blow-ups that are known so that is a plus. Don’t expect to see him near the NHL roster anytime soon.

Kyle Hagel -- Hagel is an improving rookie for the Icehogs. Though he isn’t signed by the Blackhawks, and if he continues to progress as a player he may get a shot. He is a small but very physical player, never backs down from ANYONE.

Ryan Potulny -- Potulny has been one of Rockford’s top players all year. He continues to put up great offensive numbers, and can also do well in his own zone.

Hugh Jessiman -- Jessiman has been a huge disappointment. The former 1st round pick of the Rangers shows why he hasn’t been anywhere near a NHL roster.

Brandon Bollig – In limited ice time Bollig isn’t bad. He can be a physical player, isn’t really expected to put up offensive numbers.

Mathis Olimb – Every since his return from injury this kid has been a real treat to watch. Really good puck handling skills, has been very solid on the top line with Potulny and Taffe.

Ben Smith – Smith is one of the players like Brophey who provide an all around type game. Smith can be used in a top line role, or a shut down checking type role.

Jeff Taffe – Another one of the Icehogs offensive minded guys. Plays on the top line with Potulny and Olimb, and the 3 are very fun to watch.

Igor Makarov – I like Makarov a lot. He is adapting more and more each game to the North American style. Makarov uses the boards to his advantage because of his puck and stick handling skills. He is a very, very skilled forward, and has a lot of potential.

Brandon Pirri – Pirri is another one of the players who have a solid all around game. He is usually paired up with Smith and the other winger is flipped around a lot. Pirri and Smith work well with each other, it’s a matter of time before Pirri makes an offensive surge.

Peter LeBlanc – This kid has been a real surptise. Every since he was called up from Toledo LeBlance has done nothing but help with the offense in Rockford. He has planty of skill to puck handle and snipe. He has definitely established himself as a full time AHL player.

Rob Klinkhammer – Klinkhammer is the guy that is sent out when it is time to shut down other teams top lines. He and Brophey usually manage the 3rd line with Beach being thrown in with them time to time. Klinkhammer will probably be nothing more than a 3rd-4th liner

Garnet Exelby – Every since signing in Rockford the Blueline has improved. The Icehogs captain has brought a lot of leadership and NHL experience to a very inexperienced blue line. Hes not expected to put up numbers, but he does a great job being the team leader.

Ryan Stanton – Stanton is becoming a solid defensive type d-man for the Icehogs. He’s willing to be physical in the back end, and also will step up for a team mate.

Shawn Lalonde – Lalonde definitely has offensive talent, he is adapting to a 2 way type game which will eventually make him a valuable defender.

Brian Connelly – Connelly is Rockfords #1 D-man. He can throw up offensive numbers with his wicked shots, and despite his size, he can be very physical for his size. He reminds me of a Duncan Keith.

Wade Brookbank – Well what is there to say about Brookbank, he fill in at D or Forward and is on the team to protect these guys.

Ivan Vishnevskiy –Vishnevskiy is a really talented offensive D-man, but when it comes to playing D he is usually over powered.

We can afford to move 1 or 2 of our D-men. Everyone gets thei shot in the line-up except Makarov, and when he does play its usually 4th line. I wouldn't mind seeing Beach as trade bait either.

I could see Lalonde or Vishnevskiy, those 2 would probably bring us something back in return
