The latest Jordan release marks the 19th anniversary of Michael Jordan’s first ‘un-retirement’ from the basketball. The ‘Johnny Kilroy’ Jordan IX pays homage to a character played by Michael in Nike’s original Air Jordan IX advertising campaign, a basketball player by the name of ‘Johnny Kilroy’

This OG Retro edition comes in a Black/Metallic Platinum-Gym Red colourway with ‘Johnny Kilroy’ branding on the tongue, the phrase “Kilroy Kicks Butt” message stitched on the inner, and the signature number 23 replaced with a number 4 on the heel badges.

The Nike Air Jordan IX Retro – ‘Johnny Kilroy’ will launch at 00:01 (BST) Saturday, 6th October 2012 with the shoes retailing at £129 | $169

in some pics the silver looks white, in which case i probably would have wanted them. i can appreciate the history but i cant wear silver.

zappos has a lot of pretty good deals on nb, they have that backpack series for 56 shipped there...

6pm.com is a good spot too.

both are good sources in general (not just for nb), and zappos has free next day shipping. i ordered something at 7:00 one night, and got it the next day. good stuff

checked out the rose 3 this weekend. the grey one is very nice. but it doesnt look all that much better than the 2s and 2.5s, yet the price jumped up to 160. thats a big jump... thats retro j price. now i gotta wait for them to go on sale.
