Yeah, Augies is in my neighborhood, but every neighborhood in and around Chicago has a deli that's a better sub option than the mentioned chains.
We've had other discussions about pizza and burger chains, if you live in a small town you may not have an option, maybe the only pizza place is Dominoes, the only Mexican is Taco Bell, the only burger is McDonald's. On another message board a guy said he liked the Arbys gyros, if that was the only gyros for 500 miles, what are you going to do? If you live in Chicagoland and you eating Dominoes pizza, Arbys gyros, or Taco Bell you should stop eating and just die. Exception to the rule Taco Bell at 2AM.
Scottie loves them.
They have one in Valparaiso, Indiana still.I actually really liked Quiznos. They all shut down around here tho.
I like Firehouse subs better than all of those. If you gotta pick one of the shitty supersubmarts who you got?
Subway?
Jimmy Johns?
Jersey Mikes?
Quiznos(are they still a thing?)
WaWa?
They are all the same but Mikes is the most expensive. Johns is the most bland. Subway is just the same old boring shit.
I would go WaWa or Quiznos.
I completely forgot firehouse.I like Firehouse subs better than all of those.
Edit: they have a ton of different hot sauces to try out which is also awesome.
They do make a pretty good sub, the bread is decent as well.I completely forgot firehouse.
I've only been twice but each time was great.
I walked in and I shit you not every employee in there stopped and said "welcome to Firehouse!" I was crazy confused. People must just be rude as **** all the time in the DMV because I was taken aback by the outward gesture.
So I order the the sub and they tell me they will bring it to my seat. Again, floored.. These nice ass motherfuckers are Nice!
So finallu this giant ass sub comes out that looks like 2 twelve inchers. And it was fucking delicious.
But I forgot them.
I forgot those nice mother *******
I am ashamed.
I've always been a fan of Fontano's Subs. Great sandwiches and pizza slices.
Not a chain, nice neighborhood deli. Legit looking sub.
I think there are still a few sprinkled around the U.SThey have one in Valparaiso, Indiana still.
I'm a cheap date. My mouth is watering. Not a chain, nice neighborhood deli. Legit looking sub.
Have you been?
Can you please elaborate on those other food priorities? No, I just looked it up, I'm way out in the burbs, I got my go to sub places out here. I'm in the city 5 or 6 times a year and have other food priorities when I'm down there.
Can you please elaborate on those other food priorities?
Ultimately what's better, a cold sub or a hot sub?
