We already had a log jam with MCW and Valentine. Now we add a similar level player at same position? Unreal **** ups. Gibson should have brought something. McBuckets should have brought something.
We get Cameron Payne.
And we go to sleep with Rondo on the team. who is a negative, and should just be cut. This was dumb and will be the end of them. You shouldn't be trading Taj last second with the year he had. You shouldn't be just dumping guys because all of a sudden you are finally willing to.

just hit me that we traded the last man standing of the Rose era
while the trade has been a long time coming, i wish we actually got something for him. seems like they just said **** it and threw him in the deal because they had a boner for Payne....Taj was a great Bull and one i still appreciated.

I'm still just glad Taj got off this garbage team and onto a real team that has a chance at a playoff run. He was wasting away here.

I have been ignoring the NBA/Bulls for most the season. The Bulls must really like this Cameron Payne kid, who is under control for the longest period. This trade will hinge on if Payne develops into a starting PG. Which leads me to the real crux of this move. Payne should be starting the rest of the year. To make this move and sit him is nonsensical. They gave up picks and players who have value in a trade for Payne. He needs playing time to see what he can do.
If he just sits, this year and never gets playing time; that will show the front office and HC are on completely different wave lengths.
I don't know much about Payne, outside of what I have seen of his stats. Looks like shooting is not his strong suit. Not sure how that helps this team. Seems like at best he might have a similar skill set to Rondo..........Ugh.
