Whatever the truth is, I give Poles credit for raising the value on Jenkins considerably by showcasing his new found ability at guard. His value felt like it had cratered when he was missing practice with rumors swirling about motivation and injury.

That's why I think Ebner will make the team and get some snaps during the season. If Monty leaves in free agency, you need a back that can pick up blitzes. For example, Payton's block against the Vikings was the biggest and most important offensive play of the 1985 season as seen at the 11:41 mark in the video.
