I haven't watched a new show since Severance Season 1, for context.

I just tore through that show this week.

Wow! Might be my favorite piece of science fiction since the debut season of Westworld.

I will never look at waffles the same way again.

watched shogun and fallout the last few days.. both are probably better than watching a draft

thought shogun was okay, but i was waiting for something that never came.. not spoiling it.

as decent as shogun was I thought fallout was even better.. dunno if thats because i played most of the games and am a fan of dem.. havent played 76 cause dont care for the online element.. howev, the show was good..

I don't know how Nathan Fielder keeps outdoing himself, but here we are.

Here he partners with Emma Stone in an actual scripted series about a newlywed couple who, if you can believe it, are attempting to get their self produced reality show picked up by a network.

Face value it seems like a bit of a spin on the same joke Fielder has been telling since 'Nathan For You', but it's gone well beyond the joke into some surreal mix of satire and psychological drama. It is an overall uncomfortable watch and has jarring changes in tone, but that's entirely the point.

Emma Stone plays the two faced "woke" nightmare named Whitney to perfection and Fielder's Asher is her painfully subservient husband as they film their little piece of gentrification in New Mexico under the guise of environmentalism. I don't want to say much more than that other than the final episode is genuinely shocking....even if you completely hate it. Which again, may be the entire point.

Showtime seems to have a lot of good shows lately. Might need to get it

Yeah I picked it up for a couple of months because I saw the first season of "Yellowjackets" on Netflix and wanted to see more. Plus the Bears were playing a slew of CBS games and I like the "start the game when I want to" feature Paramount + has going.

My point being I also highly recommend "Yellowjackets" on Showtime as well.
