Gap closed a bit. 21-13. Last year when these teams played there were over 100 points scored and over 50 in the third quarter alone. Lots of time to play.

Goff looked good on that TD drive to make it 21-13 before the half.

anyway, goff is looking pretty good overall. started out a little rough, but hes been lighting it up since. and his best play of the game got called back due to his receiver stepping out of bounds. plus a couple of drives stalled on short yardage runs.
and 1ke who cares if they win or lose, or how the rest of the team looks, when it comes strictly to evaluating goffs play?

I wouldn't say he was lighting it up. Only really good drive I saw out of Goff was the finally drive before the half. Where it looked like WSU was playing a soft D. And a couple of those passes were easy check down passes. But they were a good decision.
And the rest of the team makes a world of difference in QB play, so not sure what you are talking about.

well not only is there a D. but also when it comes to simply evaluating goff as a QB prospect, even incompletes that he delivered on point but were dropped, just for an example, still go a long way. like I said his best play of the game isnt even on the books.
on every drive goffs made a number of impressive plays. and I dont think WSU was playing soft, it was only a two score game with them knowing how quickly cal can score.

Lol. WSU tried to run a fake punt on 4th and 1. Kicker looked like a scared kid running the ball, got hit short of the LoS, lost the ball and Cal returned it for a TD
