I'll rephrase. It looks nothing like the C64 I grew up with. Outside of the colors.

Then maybe you aren't old enough because other than the row of f keys it looks like a 64 to me.

Keep in mind, that this isn't really commodore, only a licensed product. It's basically fan art, and unfortunately won't do much. Very cool in concept though.

No I am old enough. That I can promise you. But the C64 we had had 16 function keys.

Oh yea, but I don't have a problem with that, I live in the middle of the block.

Also there are no young kids that live on our street , they are 18+

The specs are decent. Its just as much a functional modern computer as you would get anywhere, though i doubt you can do any gaming on it. Im not sure if its running laptop or desktop hardware. Judging by the panel configurations im going to guess its a desktop Mobo (I think), probably a micro ATX form factor. Theres no way you are fitting any gaming grade non-mobile video card in there. Even if you could that thing would overheat so hard.

They also sell a modern looking slim version http://www.commodore...SA_VICSlim.aspx

Its not the command center im rocking at home

It is probably gone (and it was broken at the time) but the Vic-20 might still be in the basement in Chicago.

Emulators... hell, I think I still have a couple of C64's up in my grandparents attic. And that's no joke. And a 128.

Id rather not have to type in a long ass code every time I want to run a program. That and watching the lights blink on the floppy drive while you age a year before it actually boots up.
