38-21-5, 81 points, 4th place in Western Conference

Puckdrop - 7:30 p.m.
TV - CSN Chicago+
Radio - WGN AM 720

Entering Friday's games, the Hawks sit four points behind the Blues with 64 games played by each team. The Hawks are also eight points behind the division and conference-leading Predators, although they still have two games in hand on the Preds. So those races are not over, but giving any more ground is not an option, especially when the bottom-feeding Oilers are the opponent.

LET'S GO HAWKS!

Go for the OT win.. I don't want Edmonton needs points, I'd rather see Buffalo/Phoenix be in the #1/2 draft guaranteed slot before the ball bounce

Does it matter? This is a bettman rigs the draft lottery year anyways. McDavid and Eichell are both going to Pittsburgh.

Gonna need the Hawks to score at least 6 on Edmonton tonight after having to deal with Bears news this morning/afternoon. It's a wonderful palate cleanser.

have no fear Melt. Bigfoot plans on stepping out from behind the tree line, and putting one in the back of the net.

any word on the lines for tonight. I would think Desjardins would be playing tonight. I would assume either Nordy or TT are sitting.

They traded for the wrong Coyotes player if they wanted to accomplish one of those 8 pt feats

This is exactly the reason why I came in here. I can't keep making angry posts and the stupidity of some of those people on that forum.

On a side note, why is Richards playing on a wing? :X

IF that's legit.. since it already has 1 blatant error, Desj has been far better at face offs in his NHL career than Richards

Too many chefs, ...er centers, spoil the ...

With the additions of Vermette and Desjardins, we've gone from too few centers to too many centers.

I'd reckon that Desjardins has a better face-off percentage than Richards, as CL pointed out, plus rather see a faceoff win kicked out to Richards, as DM pointed out.

That was my first thought.

My non-scientific thought would be these instead. And I'm half tempted to swap nordstrom and bickell... but that 4th line....

Just curious, but why is that?

I trust Richards with possession of a puck than Desjardins or Bickell. He can QB the forecheck more efficiently than his line mates. Even though I think Bickell's wrister is decent, his accuracy tends to hit crests on jerseys rather than corners of the net.
