That game was good if you are a fan of goalie battles otherwise it was a sleeper. But hawks are never ever in synch after three days off. Doesnt help when you still have three guys fresh to the team still adjusting, one of them trying to find his game shape still.

I dont know what to say about the hawks powerplay which hasnt been said a thousand times so i won't bother.

Also Richards? Come on man...just come on...score a fucking goal.

Nothing wrong with a center, playmaker or not, chipping in a goal on his own here and there. 22 games without a goal isn't a fantastic stat for the guy. Agree that playing with shitty Bickel (and Dejard for 1 game) isn't good for him. However he was playing with Kane before that shit ball had to go hurt himself. He also gets enough powerplay time to contribute more than he has on the score sheet.

4 assists in the last 19 games also isn't screaming productive playmaking vet center no matter who one is playing with esp with the ice time Richards does get. I like Richards but I need more from him with less excuses of who he is playing with and how he does get line bounced.

He has turned out to be what most of us were concerned with..he can't be productive through a full season anymore. Lucky that contract is very low or he would be public enemy #1 right now with the Hawks fans. Vermette better fucking be the guy that Richards hasn't been late in the season. Hopefully Vermette and Toews take some minutes off him while being productive themselves so Richards can get some mojo back.

As I said I like Richards and always have but he has turned into Handzus part 2 as of right now.

Ya need your goalie to steal a game occasionally. Crow did that tonight.

I still stand by the fact that every time the goalie steals a game, it means the guys in front of him screwed the pooch. Awesome showing by Crawford this game (even though he couldn't cover for Keith botching it...again...), and glad Seabs broght his pointshot, but it would be nice if our offense would show up.

The longer this happens, the more it's making Kane look like MVP and worth the 10.5M.
