It more or less has to do with the kids who take buses to school. They don't want the kids sitting at some corner for 10-15 minutes waiting for the bus and getting frost bite due to the parents or the kids not dressing properly.
But yeah, I graduated 7 years ago and we never had off due to the cold outside of maybe one time back when I was in elementary.

It's pretty cold today, but this winter has been pretty mild. Much better than the Vortex 2.0 that everyone was predicting. What I'm astounded at is the fact Capt. Serious has not a single post in this thread. Should someone call in a wellness check?
